  • In the middle of the room was my favourite feature, the big round bathtub, which we used at least twice a day the whole time we were there! After a cold winter day exploring a new city, there is nothing like soaking in a steaming hot bath! 4
  • The bathroom of the Executive Suite is large and it comes with a huge shower area (complete with a rain-shower head). 12

  • My room was situated more in the back of the hotel, away from the main road, so there wasn't much noise for me. I feel like once you enter the hotel, it feels quiet indoors, like some sort of noise-cancelling walls. 9

  • Favourable location and beautiful room. The hotel was next to palace museum. 10
  • Canapés, a roast turkey, wine, champagne, and Christmas cocktails were all the perfect welcome to China! Our room was no ordinary room, instead, we had a corner suite with floor-to-ceiling windows flooding the massive space with light and giving us panoramic views across the city. 4

Food14 mentions
  • Sofitel Philippine Plaza is one of the best city hotels in Manila (and one of the best Sofitel properties) owing to its native Filipino-inspired opulence along with its picturesque bayfront location. Its buffet was nothing short of extravagant, and its resort-like swimming pool was also among the best it in the city. 8
  • Fairmont did have better service tho but breakfast was similar. Quality wise also similar imo. 5
  • Club food is good but not quite the quality nor selection. 8
  • Its buffet was nothing short of extravagant, and its resort-like swimming pool was also among the best it in the city. 8
  • Adelaide Sofitel has small rooms and small swimming pool and the lounge food is terrible - when it first opened it was nice, but seemed they had some extensive budgetary cuts. 8
  • The food in the club lounge is often just taken out of a packet and plated / reheated and plated. 8
  • Club milliseme looks impressive but is kind of ordinary when you eat the food and drinks (that said, it is an order of magnitude better than adelaide) 8
  • Love it! It's a typical huge hotel. Breakfast is very good too! 9
  • We decided to try their special Dim Sum lunch, where a huge choice of Chinese dumplings is made fresh to order. This was absolutely delicious and we have never tasted dim sum so fresh before! 4
  • The breakfast buffet at Sofitel Saigon was mind blowing! I have never seen anything like it. 8
  • Unfortunately, the coffee capsules are not from Nespresso and they are provided by some in-house brand which did not taste especially good. 12
  • Breakfast is very good too! 9
  • You will find a huge breakfast spread here and I highly recommend that you drop by even if you plan on eating something else outside - I really like range of food here in the morning as you will be able to enjoy local dishes like 'jianbing' and delicious noodles that are cooked a la minute. 12
  • Breakfast was average, expected more from a 5 star hotel. 6

  • I did find the pillows to be rather soft for my liking but I did not manage to find any pillow menu (even after evening turndown has been completed) so I am not certain as to whether alternative pillows can be arranged. 12

  • Fairmont & Swissotel was nice. Sofitel was not well maintained. 5
  • All the staff were very helpful, patient, kind, and professional with us when using the translator. Helped us call my tour booking issues by calling the guide at like 4 AM, helped us with our luggage when we arrived, and guided us to where our pickup car was when we were leaving, like at 3 AM. 9
  • Location is good. Staff are nice. Room is spacious. 6
  • Fairmont did have better service tho but breakfast was similar. Quality wise also similar imo. 5
  • All the staff were very helpful, patient, kind, and professional with us when using the translator. 9
  • The housekeeping team was also very generous in replenishing these products throughout my stay so I did not feel as though I had to save on them or to make them last (another perk of staying in a hotel versus an Airbnb!). 12
  • The food the overall condition of the hotel which is very dated carpets are very dirty staff can't speaka a word of English. 6
  • If I were to visit Beijing again, this is definitely my go to. Very affordable and love the service! 9

  • Sofitel Wentworth can't compare despite the multi-million dollar upgrade. The rooms are still dated for the most part but the staff are nice. Club food is good but not quite the quality nor selection. 8
  • Sofitel Melbourne is underwhelming, dated, typical club food, friendly staff. 8
  • Walking into the bright warm lobby we were welcomed by Jasmine, the Guest Relations Manager, who helped us to get checked in early so we could drop all of our things into our room. 4
  • Eclat is nice. But not near a lot. 9
  • Sofitel Wentworth can't compare despite the multi-million dollar upgrade. The rooms are still dated for the most part but the staff are nice. 8
  • I spoke very little mandarin and with the help of google translate they were very understanding and professional. In a few occasions I had trouble with my booked tours at like 4 AM, and they helped me solve the issue. 9

  • Everything about the service provided was excellent.only negative was the location wasn't ideal by 6
  • For good quality service I skip Sofitel and go Pullman but the rooms and amenities are a bit more basic. 8
  • The rooms my family stayed had no smoking smell and the concierge are very attentive. 9
  • Sofitel & Fairmont have fairly dated rooms, but fairmont is well maintained. But swissotel has nice modern rooms. 5
  • One time I stayed at the Four Seasons in Sydney for an anniversary weekend (whilst living in Sydney at the time). I checked in alone during my work day and the guy at reception is like "awww mate, why youse staying at a flash hotel if you live in Sydney?" So many reasons why I could be staying there, none of which were that guy's business 🤣 8

  • Sofitel darling harbour, have stayed in the suites a few times, sizing is good. Location is amazing. Views are superb z The smaller rooms feel a bit cramped. I really dislike the dated entertainment system and the remote controls. And tiny ineffective mini bar fridges. Room service was good. 8
  • Located at the back of the bedroom is a walk-in wardrobe which is large enough for you to hang up at least 2 weeks worth of outfits (even if you are traveling with your partner or friend). This is also a great area for you to bring your luggages into and the safe can be found inside one of the drawers. 12
  • The room is simple but looks luxurious; it's not overly flashy. It's not, it's not like, Fairmondia has to go. Seeing it with your own eyes, you'll understand that it's actually quite good. On camera131:00

  • The Executive Suite here at the JW Marriott Hotel Beijing Central comes with a plush and comfortable king-size bed. 12
  • The room wasn't as big as the hotel room we stayed at recently. Just now, it seemed so spacious because of him. Putting up a lot of mirrors makes it look spacious. It's already quite comfortable. On camera135:29

  • As mentioned earlier, the interiors of the Executive Suite are not exactly exciting but it is very comfortable (I wish the design was a lot more modern though). 12
  • There is a powder room (half-bathroom) located near the main entrance of the Executive Suite and this is especially useful if you are planning to entertain guests. 12
  • It was in general a nice experience. We could walk to Jianguomen tube station in 5 minutes and ancient observatory wasn't far. Impressive room with all necessities. 10
  • Was super disappointed about my stay at Sofitel Melbourne. Booked a corner room which admittedly had a fantastic view but the bathroom was legitimately something I'd expect at a Mercure. 8
  • The living room of the Executive Suite is quite sizeable and there is plenty of space for you and your guests to hang out. 12
  • Unlike the JW Marriott Hotel South Beach (which really is an exception), the room design of the JW Marriott Hotel Beijing Central is fairly unexciting and it features a muted colour palette. 12
  • Also when you check in, ask for lower ground, it's newly renovated, at first night I got lower floor room(same floor as restaurant, and it's fresh modern interior) second night and the rest I moved to upper floor to join my families who booked family room, and the room has older interior. 9
  • I really dislike the dated entertainment system and the remote controls. And tiny ineffective mini bar fridges. 8
