The verdict

Who's travelling?

Pick a traveller type to re-weight the scores and re-rank the rooms around what you actually care about.

Read it your way

The Renaissance Orlando at SeaWorld is a 781-room resort situated near major theme parks and convention spaces. Guests enjoy roomy accommodations with double-sink bathrooms, firm king beds, and views of the SeaWorld fireworks. However, reviewers regularly cite steep extra costs, including a 45 dollar nightly resort fee and pricey restaurant food, alongside noticeable noise from Interstate 4 and the central atrium. 1013916

Every line below traces back to something a traveler actually wrote — open a line to read the original sentence and follow it to the source.

What travelers noticed

  • Bathrooms are consistently praised for their size, featuring marble double vanities, strong water pressure, and Aveda products. 14
  • Rooms are notably spacious and functional, offering Juliet balconies that overlook either the central atrium or SeaWorld. 5137
  • The location provides easy access to nearby attractions, allowing guests to watch SeaWorld firework shows from select rooms or reach Disney parks in about 11 minutes. 21813
  • Dining options like the breakfast buffet at Tradewinds Restaurant, the poolside grill, and the on-site Starbucks offer convenient meals on property. 131610

The catch

  • While some guests find the central atrium absorbs sound well, others complain about hallway echoes and advise light sleepers to bring earplugs. 13
  • Reviewers disagree on value: some view the property as a better deal than Disney value resorts, while others call the $45 nightly resort fee and food prices excessive. 162

Who it's for

  • Families visiting SeaWorld
  • Guests wanting spacious bathrooms with double sinks
  • Travelers looking for theme park firework views

Skip it if

  • Light sleepers sensitive to atrium echo or Interstate 4 road noise
  • Travelers avoiding mandatory resort fees and pricey food

  • I ordered the grilled white clam flatbread. I never ordered anything like that before. But I can tell you the next time I come here I will be ordering it again. It was amazing. Great flavor and the flatbread was nice and crispy but not so crispy that it breaks apart. 10
  • Now as for the king bed. It was perfect for me. It was the kind I prefer nice and firm. 10

  • This trip this year we ate at Tradewinds and Boardwalk. We had the breakfast buffet at Tradewinds Restaurant on this trip. While the price is a little high ($28), the food here was fabulous. 10

Room11 mentions · 1 filmed
  • Generous space in standard rooms at 465 square feet 14
  • From well appointed guest rooms to larger suites and connecting room options, this resort makes it easy for families to spread out and stay comfortable. 3
  • On my last stay here I had a King bed with a sleeper sofa with a fantastic view of SeaWorld. I was treated on Friday night with the firework show going on at SeaWorld and it was wonderful. 10
  • Some of the rooms have Juliet balconies that overlook the atrium, which is a nice touch, though it also means every room faces the atrium in some way, so light sleepers should pack earplugs. 13
  • At 465 square feet, the standard King and Double Queen Rooms are quite spacious. 7
  • The space was a comfortable size for a solo traveler with cruise luggage, with a clean, updated feel and the usual resort touches like a work desk, a large TV, and good closet space for repacking before the ship. 13
  • and then the coffee maker hidden way down there a little Annoying if you're a fan of coffee in the room On camera51:43
  • If you are doing a little work on your vacation (like me) they have a nice little desk for your laptop. 10
  • The room handled all of that without fuss. It is not a design statement, but it is a well-kept, functional resort room, which is exactly what I wanted the night before boarding. 13
  • Mine turned out to be an ADA room I hadn't requested - no big deal - with a comfortable bed, a fold-out couch, two sinks in the bathroom, a mini fridge (the door opened from the right this time, always a coin flip), and a coffee maker hidden so low it was mildly annoying to reach. 13
  • Room was clean- on par with a standard Marriott I'd say. 19
Location12 mentions · 2 filmed
  • The location is unbeatable for anyone wanting to experience the wonders of SeaWorld and the many other world-class attractions that Orlando has to offer. On camera151:45
  • That flexibility is a big part of why this location works so well as a base. I put the location to the test with my expiring SeaWorld annual pass: the walk across the parking lot was easy at 9:30 in the morning (noticeably hotter on the return an hour later), and I got my ride on Manta, one of my favorite roller coasters on the planet. 13
  • Press the question mark key to get the keyboard shortcuts for changing dates. This southwestern Orlando, Florida, hotel (located, as its name suggests, by SeaWorld), impresses visitors with its trendy atmosphere and proximity to popular theme parks. 20
  • The Renaissance Orlando at SeaWorld is located directly across from SeaWorld Orlando, and when I say close, I mean close. After a long day of walking the park, being just minutes away from your room is everything. 3
  • visiting SeaWorld, you should really think about staying here. Just for the fact it is so close to the park and you get so many benefits from the hotel. 10
  • Here you'll have easy access to Disney Springs and all its restaurants and shops as well as a shuttle schedule to the Disney parks. It's also an easier location to get off Disney property if you're looking to do Universal/Seaworld or anything outside of the Disney bubble during your 10 days. 8
  • Across the street from SeaWorld, this hotel offers convenience due to its location. 20
  • The resort sits directly across from SeaWorld Orlando on the south end of International Drive. That location is the whole pitch: you can be at SeaWorld or Aquatica in a few minutes, and the Orlando Convention Center, Universal, and the outlet shopping are all a short drive away. 13
  • Reporting back - the hotel is pretty good! A bit dated - but the staff have been great, I received $25/day vouchers, the shuttle was on time to and from Epcot last night, and the location is an easy walk to Disney Springs. 9
  • The Renaissance enjoys a convenient location in the heart of Orlando's tourist district, just across the street from the entrance to SeaWorld (an eight-minute walk). 7
  • Families are welcome as children between 0 and 17 stay free of charge. You'll find easy access to SeaWorld R and other nearby attractions. On camera210:44
  • The Swan and Dolphin and Swan Reserve are better situated Marriott properties in the heart of Disney, within walking distance to Epcot and a friendship boat/skyliner ride to Hollywood Studios. 8
Service17 mentions · 4 filmed
  • The Renaissance Orlando at SeaWorld is a fantastic Hotel. This is a 4-Star hotel and it shows. Overall great service, great food, great pool. 10
  • Marriott Orlando World Center is another zoo (biggest Marriott in the world) but the rooms overall are nicer (Gaylord has some nice towers, but some rooms are soooooo dated). 19
  • Lots of conferences and they couldn't care less about service. 19
  • The rooms are great, the service is stellar, and the amenities are excellent. 16
  • You can book your stay easily through the QR code in the video description. This hotel, located in Orlando, Florida, is perfect for both leisure and business travelers with a convenient check-in time starting at 4:00 p.m. and a checkout time until 11:00 a.m., allowing for a relaxed morning. On camera210:08
  • But for some guests, it's not the spa or the water park that makes this hotel a great choice for Orlando visitors; rather, it's the hotel's pleasant, accommodating staff. 20
  • wireless internet service was complimentary and as you can see from this test the speed was more than adequate for internet surfing and video streaming On camera23:31
  • Service was friendly and efficient across both nights. The front desk handled my status correctly, the breakfast team kept things moving during a busy morning, and everyone I dealt with was warm without being fussy. 13
  • The Gaylord is a zoo. The Renaissance is big but a little less overwhelming. Neither has great service, especially if they're hosting a trade show or convention. 19
  • This is a large convention-and-family resort, so at peak times you will share the lobby and pool with groups. Even so, I never felt like a number. For a mid-tier full-service resort, the staff hit the mark. 13
  • The hotel upgraded me at check in! It was wonderful surprise ! 18
  • I ordered the grilled white clam flatbread. I never ordered anything like that before. But I can tell you the next time I come here I will be ordering it again. It was amazing. Great flavor and the flatbread was nice and crispy but not so crispy that it breaks apart. 10
  • The staff is known for their friendly and professional service, ensuring your arrival is smooth. On camera210:27
  • Check-in was smooth, and my Platinum status was recognized without me having to ask. 13
  • The staff pointed me toward breakfast and the pool, which is exactly the orientation you want when you arrive tired from travel. 13
  • we enjoyed a nice breakfast at the American kitchen and can speak highly of the both the food and the service On camera26:46
  • Now as for the king bed. It was perfect for me. It was the kind I prefer nice and firm. 10

  • overall we thought the Renaissance Orlando was a great value for the money even with the add-on fees it's a fairly affordable hotel that has one of the best locations in the area and is within walking distance to Disney Springs On camera28:39
  • nightly rates at this hotel are really very affordable for a Renaissance brand property and typically range from around $100 per night to more than $200 per night for Peak holidays and weekends On camera24:36
  • Another big benefit of the resort fee is the complimentary transportation to the theme parks. That's right you can sign up near the front desk for a bus to either Universal Studios, Disney Parks, or SeaWorld. 10
  • This trip this year we ate at Tradewinds and Boardwalk. We had the breakfast buffet at Tradewinds Restaurant on this trip. While the price is a little high ($28), the food here was fabulous. 10
  • Rates are attractive for its category, but a hefty resort fee and extra charges for breakfast, parking, and Wi-Fi boost the final tab. 7
  • The resort and parking fees at swan and dolphin would kill me though for 10 days. 8
  • Last year, we stayed at Disney's Art of Animation Resort, which is considered a value property. I think that the Renaissance is a better deal. 16

  • roups, and even family suites - all of which have an amazing view of the landscape below. 12
  • The views are a highlight: some rooms face inward to overlook the beautiful atrium, and others offer SeaWorld views. 7

  • My only complaint has to be with the flushing power of the toilet. It was really lacking but that could be because I was on the eighth floor. 10
  • Oversized bathrooms, include marble, double vanities and Aveda bath products 14
  • Bedding was comfortable and the bathroom was in good shape. 13

  • Adjacent to Mist, you'll find Boardwalk, serving up pub-style food. This restaurant was our favorite. The service was quick, the food was delicious, and TV monitors kept the sports enthusiasts in our family entertained. 16
  • Food options are decent - though breakfast was pricey (so the voucher was appreciated). No major complaints! 9
  • This trip this year we ate at Tradewinds and Boardwalk. We had the breakfast buffet at Tradewinds Restaurant on this trip. While the price is a little high ($28), the food here was fabulous. 10
  • Decent bar/restaurant in the lobby. 19
  • Breakfast at Tradewinds Restaurant was the meal I cared about most, since my Platinum status covered it. The spread was solid, with the hot items and lighter options you want before a park day or a drive to the port, and the room itself is pleasant and easy to linger in with coffee. 13
  • Beyond breakfast, the resort has a poolside grill for casual bites and drinks, a sports bar, and a Starbucks for a quick coffee run. It is not a foodie destination, and it does not try to be. For a functional resort stay near the parks, the on-site options cover you without a car trip. 13
  • The breakfast buffet at the Tradewinds Restaurant was worth it. 10
  • Along with breakfast potatoes and biscuits with gravy. Our server was great. Took our plates in a timely manner and made sure we were enjoying ourselves. 10
  • Tradewinds is open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, offering upscale comfort food. My kids say it's one of the best breakfast buffets that they've ever eaten with made-to-order chocolate chip pancakes and fresh honey from the comb to drizzle on biscuits. 16
  • Mag-reply I-share redditfuhgetit • 3 taon ang nakalipas Good luck on your stay. That's one of the properties where Platinum and above should take the buffet breakfast over the points. It's a good deal. 18
  • The Renaissance Orlando at SeaWorld is a fantastic Hotel. This is a 4-Star hotel and it shows. Overall great service, great food, great pool. 10
  • They have a pretty limited breakfast menu but you can get your standard eggs, bacon, pancakes. Can order anything off the menu up to $25 if I remember correctly. I only wish they had a grab and go option, you had to sit down and order from the server. 8
  • Room was clean- on par with a standard Marriott I'd say. Decent bar/restaurant in the lobby. 19
  • I was pleased with the breakfast buffet included for platinum members. 19
  • The beds are bigger and more comfortable, the food tastier, and the overall stay is more relaxing with fewer crowds. 16

  • Despite a steady stream of people passing through, the large atrium absorbs the noise well. 7
  • Thoughtful touches make these quiet and modern rooms look tasteful. 7
  • our only complaint was that the road noise from Interstate 4 was quite loud so as a result the hotel staff was able to move us to another room that faced Disney Springs 2
  • one of the really neat features of this hotel is the Outdoor elevator that faces Disney Springs this elevator appears to stop only on the higher floors and as you can see provides a great view of the immediate area On camera22:44
  • Rooms closest to elevators can be noisy 14
