Set across 135 acres in the Bièvre Valley near the Palace of Versailles, this historic estate blends traditional Toile de Jouy decor with modern comfort across rooms in the Château, Chalet, and villas. Guests praise the expansive breakfast buffet and dinners at the brasserie featuring steak cooked to perfection. However, service can falter, with reviewers noting exceptionally long wait times at the restaurant and room service. 20171816

  • I'd love to give you a full menu review, but none of us could get past how amazing the steak sounded and looked. We all ordered it, and it was an amazing decision. The steak was cooked to perfection and capped off one of the most relaxing days of our trip. 18
  • The breakfast buffet was equally impressive and one of the best hotel breakfasts I've had. Yogurt parfait station, eggs, meats, pastries, and more, plus a barista machine that creates cappuccinos and lattes on demand. 18

  • One of the smartest things about staying at Dolce is the location. We had no problem scheduling an Uber from the hotel to the train station, but during morning rush hour we decided to walk to the nearby Metro station instead. 18

  • The 178-room resort sits on 135 acres of gardens in the beautiful Bièvre Valley, just a few minutes from the Palace of Versailles. It's the perfect place to base yourself if you plan to visit Versailles with kids and want to make your stop more appealing to your offspring. 18
  • The Room: Definitely the highlight of the trip for me. Room was massive as a presidential suite should be. 12

Room7 mentions
  • Another top spot: the large terrace of Le Cèdre, where you can sip one of their signature cocktails (try the "Oberkampf" with vodka, St Germain, lemonade, rose syrup, Tabasco, and lemon, €19) while enjoying the garden view. 20
  • Last and final section was the bedroom that had another 65" TV, a king size bed, a hidden walk in closet which was a nice treat for my wife and a large bathroom with two sinks, a shower and a bathtub. 12
  • The decoration, designed by Sébastien Flamant, blends subtle Toiles de Jouy, soothing tones, and modern furniture. 11
  • The 150 rooms, up to 48m2, are located in different parts of the estate (the Château, the Chalet, the Villa Marie Louise and the Village des Arts). With their simple yet refined decor, they overlook the park and forest, and some even have a terrace or balcony. 17
  • The only downside of the room is that we could not get the AC to go below 74 degrees. At night the temperature outside was in the 50's so we just opened the windows up and we were fine. 12
Food5 mentions
  • As for breakfast, I'd say it was quite family-friendly. You serve yourself buffet style, but you are seated in the nice restaurant area and they had plenty of options in terms of food choices. It was a really impressive breakfast! 18
  • La Toile: gourmet brasserie imagined by chef Benoist Rambaud (inspired by the local heritage); creative French cuisine with balanced flavours, marrying terroir and Asian touches. 11
  • I'd love to give you a full menu review, but none of us could get past how amazing the steak sounded and looked. We all ordered it, and it was an amazing decision. The steak was cooked to perfection and capped off one of the most relaxing days of our trip. 18
  • For those who can tear themselves away from their cozy beds, the breakfast room offers panoramic views of the estate, with a full buffet featuring local and seasonal products. 20
  • The breakfast buffet was equally impressive and one of the best hotel breakfasts I've had. Yogurt parfait station, eggs, meats, pastries, and more, plus a barista machine that creates cappuccinos and lattes on demand. 18
Service5 mentions
  • Several centuries of history come together at the Dolce Versailles, where the friendly team welcomes you and places you at the centre of its attentions. 9
  • We approached the front desk for check in and the guy at the front desk was visibly nervous. Felt like we were his first customer ever. He was stumbling over his words and forgot to check our ID's and it took about 20 minutes to get us fully checked in. 12
  • I quickly learned that the staff at Dolce has mastered the art of family-friendly luxury without sacrificing the peaceful atmosphere that adults want. 18
  • Les retours clients témoignent de délais d'attente exceptionnellement longs, tant au restaurant qu'en service de chambre, ce qui mérite d'être pris en compte. 16
  • The 200-year-old cedar tree, the listed English-style garden and the contemporary artworks provide delightful highlights on every stroll. Our 178 rooms, suites and flats, including 7 accessible to people with reduced mobility, offer comfort and tranquillity in warm, welcoming surroundings. 9
Location1 mention
  • One of the smartest things about staying at Dolce is the location. We had no problem scheduling an Uber from the hotel to the train station, but during morning rush hour we decided to walk to the nearby Metro station instead. 18
View1 mention
  • The Dolce by Wyndham Versailles hotel has retained traces of its past, visible throughout the estate, including the Château, the historic wing, and the 19th-century Chalet, all of which have been meticulously renovated to offer charming attic rooms, some with terraces overlooking the gardens. 20
