The verdict

Who's travelling?

Pick a traveller type to re-weight the scores and re-rank the rooms around what you actually care about.

Read it your way

Hilton Denver City Center is a downtown convention hotel located steps from light rail transit and local shops. Guests frequently highlight the spacious rooms, comfortable beds, mountain views, and attentive front desk staff. However, travelers regularly complain about sound carrying through thin walls and slow elevator lines during peak hours. 136151

Every line below traces back to something a traveler actually wrote — open a line to read the original sentence and follow it to the source.

What travelers noticed

  • The hotel sits in a central downtown location within easy reach of light rail connections, coffee shops, and local dining. 1132
  • Guests consistently enjoy a good night of sleep in spacious rooms with soft, comfortable beds. 1
  • Staff members receive steady praise from check-in onward for friendly, attentive customer service. 10
  • On-site food amenities add convenience, notably the Starbucks in the main lobby and the Executive Lounge breakfast. 15

The catch

  • While some guests describe their stay as very quiet, others complain about thin walls that let you hear neighbors talking on the phone and doors slamming at night. 1
  • Some travelers appreciate the modern shower fixtures, whereas others are disappointed by low shower heads and the absence of bathtubs. drawn from the full read

Who it's for

  • Convention and business travelers
  • Guests wanting downtown mountain views
  • Travelers prioritizing comfortable beds and central access

Skip it if

  • Light sleepers sensitive to thin walls and door slams
  • Guests who prefer a bathtub over a shower-only layout

  • I stayed at the homewood when I got married across the street and it was very nice and clean and great staff. That was 2016 tho. 6
  • The staff was friendly to me and the room was comfortable. 10
  • The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful from the moment I checked in. 10
  • The staff had game prizes and complimentary champagne for those 21+ (they checked IDs and we're so kind but thorough). 10
  • After a quick and easy check in, Willie the bellman took our luggage to our we found out that they Hilton upgraded us to the Presidential suite! 15
  • The customer service is fantastic. Every person who works there you could tell genuinely cared about your experience. 15
  • The only one I might avoid is the Double Tree on Quebec. Not the best area (but that's all relative, it's far from unsafe, just kind of janky). 6
  • So, yeah, I checked in. Everything went great. They was super nice and yeah, so far so good. On camera15:16

  • Known for: Downtown denver hotel with stellar service 10
  • I'd recommend the The Slate. It's a converted school and nice property. The rooms are small but new overall the property is top notch. 6
  • I stayed in the Double Tree when I was there on business. Super nice staff and also cookies 🍪 11
  • Any thoughts following your Embassy Suites stay? evapor8ted • 5 taon ang nakalipas Really great property great service. 11
Location17 mentions · 1 filmed
  • "This hotel combines a great downtown location with good service and comfortable, amenity-filled guest rooms." 13
  • In general, Central Park is not my first recommendation if it is your first time in Denver. It's generally more residential and, though there are some commuter rail connections, overall it's an area where you really should only stay if you plan to have a car. It is most definitely not walkable to the main attractions of Denver (unlike CBD or the LoDo / Union Station area). 2
  • To add: the Hampton Inn and Suites Denver Airport is a solid choice close to the airport. They do have a 24 hour shuttle and it's a renovated Hampton Inn so the hotel and rooms themselves are nice. 6
  • The location is fantastic given downtown Denver is so walkable! 10
  • The Brown Palace. Take the light rail. [na-delete] • 3 taon ang nakalipas I agree with this! Coolest oldest historical hotel downtown but it is NOT a Hilton property. Just have to take the A line downtown and then connect to the free mall ride 16th street bus. Very close to everything downtown & the property is very good with security and great staff. 6
  • If you wonder where it is, it's right by the Federal Courthouse, so decent location downtown. On camera50:28
  • I always enjoyed staying at The Curtis. It's a Doubletree property. Kinda funky and cool. Great location. 11
  • The Curtis is definitely a cute, fun place and good location. 6
  • Great location too even if you don't get a car it's about 3/4 mile walk from Union Station which takes you to/from the airport. 6
  • One of the many reasons why we loved the Hilton Denver City Center is its central location to everything in the city. 15
  • Personally, I preferred the Embassy Suites Convention Center location. Nothing overly special about it, but the typical breakfast and happy hour perks are nice, and it is an easy walk to 16th Street and a lot of good dining options. 6
  • Personally, I preferred the Embassy Suites Convention Center location. Nothing overly special about it, but the typical breakfast and happy hour perks are nice, and it is an easy walk to 16th Street and a lot of good dining options. Was also convenient to my usual work destination. 6
  • The elevators, even though there are 6 of them, can cause quite an issue if backed up. (We exited off of ours and saw the line go nearly back to the escalators location). 10
  • Very close to everything downtown & the property is very good with security and great staff. 6
  • I at each moment did enjoy staying at the curtis. T's a doubletree property. Kinda funky and merit. Most wondrous location 11
  • Downtown Denver's go-to for business travelers, this convention-focused hotel excels with its prime location steps from the Convention Center and light rail, plus spacious meeting facilities and comfortable rooms with solid amenities. 13
  • I also agree with The Curtis. It's pretty neat with each floor having a theme and the rooms also fitting the theme. I had the superhero floor and it was pretty cool. Great location too even if you don't get a car it's about 3/4 mile walk from Union Station which takes you to/from the airport. 6
