The verdict

Who's travelling?

Pick a traveller type to re-weight the scores and re-rank the rooms around what you actually care about.

Read it your way

This hotel serves as a practical base located minutes from the west entrance of Yellowstone, featuring large rooms, a swimming pool, and a Jacuzzi. Guests regularly appreciate the clean accommodations, helpful front desk advice, and hot morning breakfast options. However, the breakfast area gets quite crowded during peak morning hours, and the coffee receives complaints. Rooms positioned near the road can also experience traffic noise. 19164

  • We rented a type of Air BnB (not through that exact service; I didn't do the booking, but it was similar). Our entire group stayed in a house, got our own bedrooms and bathrooms, a full kitchen, cable service, wi-fi, etc. for an amazing price. 3
  • All in all, I found West Entrance to be the best bet for a quick trip. I went there last weekend and stayed at Al WestWard Ho Motel and found them a bargain for the price. 3

  • They cover Colter Bay, Jackson Lake Lodge and Jenny Lake Lodge (really expensive, lol). They also cover Headwaters but I don't recommend that location. No view, a bad fire nearby in 2016 (Berry Fire which torched 20,000 acres) and not convenient for either Grand Tetons or Yellowstone. 10
