Guests consistently praise the friendly staff, generous bathroom layouts, and family-friendly bunk setups. However, reviewers frequently complain about the mandatory resort fee and the hotel's location, which requires taking an Uber or shuttle rather than walking to the parks. 1514171

  • We never had any trouble sleeping nor have I noticed the sounds of the freeway at this hotel, but light sleepers might want to request an interior room, away from the highway. 10

Bed & Sleep5 mentions
  • The beds are about the same as a Motel 6 bed. Very uncomfortable, you can feel the springs in the mattress. We did not sleep well at all. 10
  • The bedding is top notch, with a plush pillowtop mattress and head-absorbing pillows. 10
  • These bunk beds are large enough to sleep an adult, and reasonably comfortable for what they are. The mattresses are a bit on the thin side, but not unreasonably so. 10
  • Our bed offered an exceedingly uninterrupted night of slumber. 17
  • If I had to guess what style of pillows were on the bed I'd say medium firm, which I like. 1
Food6 mentions
  • My kids enjoyed the pool area and also liked the water splash pad area to play in. We got breakfast at the inhouse restaurant twice and had a great meal both times and the service was great. 10
  • The star of the dining scene is Top of the V, the hotel's rooftop bar and restaurant. There is plenty of stylish indoor seating as well as outdoor spaces located around fire pits. Both areas have prime views of the theme parks - perfect for evenings when fireworks light up the sky over Disneyland. 15
  • The rooftop restaurant is on the higher end side and trendy. I would not take your family up there unless your kids are older or are used to places like that. It is very good though and if you can get in, you won't be disappointed. 10
  • Another dining option is Valencia's at the Viv, a culinary experience that serves a modern take on Baja California style cuisine. We had breakfast at Valencia's sit down restaurant. We enjoyed a traditional breakfast with eggs, bacon or sausage, toast and breakfast potatoes. 9
  • While a lot of Anaheim area hotels have pretty sparse dining offerings, The Viv Hotel, Anaheim has a number of quality choices that set it apart. 15
  • Viv Hotel Anaheim has two on-site restaurants. FireLake Grill House and Cocktail Bar is on the ground level near the pool and BluSky Restaurant & Bar is on the rooftop with gorgeous views. 14
Room20 mentions · 4 filmed
  • Everything was beautiful and clean and the views of the Disney parks was phenomenal. I could even see the lights projected on the buildings of Main Street from my 10th floor room! 14
  • I stayed in a 2 queen, 2 twin bunk room. These rooms sleep up to 6 people, which means they have more than enough space for a family of 4 like mine. 15
  • when booking i highly recommend that you choose a room with this view because it was so much fun to see the parks at all times On camera130:50
  • The desk chairs are cheap and uncomfortable, the design is relatively spartan as compared to luxury resorts, and a lot of ways the hotel is on the more basic side. 10
  • The property is modern, with pops of bright color and nods to all things Disney in the decor throughout the common areas. 15
  • The decor is fun. While modern and relatively minimalist, there are plenty of details to convey quality, plus splashes of color in an otherwise clean-but-elevated aesthetic. 10
  • this room had two queen beds as well as a set of twin bunk beds which was perfect for our family of five On camera130:59
  • Cons: coffee maker ( but they offer free fresh coffee at Pizza press for guests in the morning . 6
  • the large tv had chromecast capabilities which my boys loved so they could watch all of their favorite youtube channels when we were hanging out in the room On camera131:24
  • The problem is everything is very cheaply done. There was also a gigantic bloody booger on the wall next to the bed. 10
  • My kids loved that we could see the parks from our hotel room window and there was nothing like looking out to see the glow of the parks after dark! 10
  • During my recent stay I stayed in a 2 Queen Bunk Bed room with a Disneyland firework view. Both the bedroom and the bathroom were spacious even for a family of my size. 14
  • The little extras in the layout showed that a lot of thought and expertise went into making the rooms work for modern travelers. Charging ports and outlets were everywhere. 15
  • Featuring bunk beds and two queen beds, this standard room utilizes its small space surprisingly well. 10
  • The bathrooms are spacious and bright. My room type had two sinks, plenty of counter space, and a makeup/shaving mirror. 15
  • Here's the standard room I stayed in during my stay. As you can see there's a decent amount of space to walk around in. 1
  • The room was well appointed with subtle nods to Disney with the colors and a family atmosphere with the bunk beds. 12
  • The desk/table area. There's a good amount of desktop space here, but unfortunately the chairs are extremely uncomfortable. I found these chairs to be hard to sit in for longer than 30 minutes due to the lack of back support. 1
  • As far as the room we found the double queen room with the bunkbeds a prefect fit for our family and the space to move around in the room was great as well. It was so spacious that even when we put the rented City Select Double stroller in the room there was still plenty of room. 10
  • one thing i loved about this room was all of the available storage On camera131:32
Service9 mentions
  • Excellent customer service, super clean room and fun modern feel. The staff was attentive and helpful. 9
  • Hotel staff are very welcoming and friendly. Room was clean. 6
  • Hotel staff are very welcoming and friendly. 6
  • The hotel is brand new and looks very nice inside. 10
  • Towels are not the best quality, but on par with most hotels. 6
  • All the employees we came into contact with were super friendly and we never had any issues. 10
  • The staff were awesome and very attentive, making our stay even more enjoyable. 5
  • The entire staff at the Viv was awesome. In the beginning, Danielle assisted us in planning for the entire group's rooms, and she was great in determining our needs and following through. 12
  • The concierge service team was very informative and kind. 9
Location12 mentions
  • Pros: close to park ( less than 10 minute walk), pizza press and bar in the hotel, amazing pool and grounds. 6
  • It is a walk to Disneyland, about 15 minutes pushing a double stroller and hustling, but thats one thing we actually liked. We like to both open and close the parks with our kids and don't usually go back to the room for naps or breaks so when im not in the parks i dont want to feel the crowds and congestion that comes with the area closer to the parks. 10
  • The brand new Viv Hotel, Anaheim, a Tribute Portfolio Hotel is conveniently located near the Disneyland Resort (1.6 miles away), Anaheim GardenWalk and Angel Stadium. 9
  • The location was perfect for our trade show... 12
  • The walk to Disneyland is really far. I would say around 30 minutes (and we walk fairly quick). You also have to walk under the I-5 and it feels quite sketchy after dark. 10
  • my group was able to hang out at the top of the for sunset and it was so beautiful. You can even see all the way to downtown LA when the sky is clear. 3
  • It definitely has a luxury feel to it, but works for both families and adults. It's definitely not walkable in my opinion. Just took an Uber back-and-forth between Disneyland, but the ART pulls up right to the front door of the lobby. 3
  • The property isn't quite within what I'd consider comfortable walking distance, especially after a day logging 20,000+ steps within the theme parks. 15
  • The hotel is in a terrible location and there is nothing close by. 10
  • More critically, the the Viv Hotel Anaheim is a difficult walk to Disneyland and DCA because it's adjacent to the I-5 freeway. When heading to Disneyland, you have to cross the I-5 on and off ramps. 10
  • On the plus side, the Viv Hotel Anaheim has a great location for those venturing beyond Disneyland. This is a centralized location for accessing Los Angeles, Newport and Laguna Beaches, and other cities in Southern California. 10
  • The walk to Disneyland and DCA is 1.1 miles each way, which isn't so bad in the morning, but it can be annoying at night after you've spent all day walking around a theme park. 1
Value4 mentions
  • The Viv Hotel Anaheim's prices are decent with most nights I looked at being under $200. 1
  • The absence of complimentary breakfast was disappointing, and the imposed resort fee didn't align with my preferences. 10
  • The Viv Hotel, Anaheim brings the same level of luxury at a fraction of the price (like sometimes ⅓ or even ¼ the cost of the Grand), making it a real value in this hotel class. 15
  • Well, that shoots Anaheim Hotel off the list for me! I used to like it but those fees are atrocious for that property. A resort fee? Give me a break. 6
Bathroom8 mentions · 1 filmed
  • Probably my only (very minor) complaint about the room was that the tub was pretty narrow. And because the shower curtain was on a rod that didn't curve to give more internal space, it made the shower a little bit of a tight fit for adults. 15
  • the shower and tub combination was nice with white subway tile and came equipped with shampoo conditioner and body wash i really liked the shelf to place my own items on On camera132:01
  • The shower has plenty of room to move around in and the included soap, shampoo, and conditioner all smelled very nice. 1
  • The vanity is large, lighting abundant, and finishings are nice. Plenty of counter space and storage below the sink. 10
  • I'd like the water pressure to be better, but that's a minor gripe. 1
  • The shower situation added to the dissatisfaction. The lack of safety features, such as slippery stops or bars, made it feel unprofessional and potentially hazardous. 10
  • The bathroom was a great size and was well stocked. 10
  • the bathroom was very spacious there was a double vanity and plenty of counter space i love that there were drawers that could be used to store your toiletries 13
Noise3 mentions
  • We never had any trouble sleeping nor have I noticed the sounds of the freeway at this hotel, but light sleepers might want to request an interior room, away from the highway. 10
  • The highway noise from the adult pool is pretty intense. It is very, very loud. 10
  • I want to mention in this Viv Hotel Anaheim review that there are lots of fun touches around the hotel that you and your kids will love. From Storm Troopers in the hallway to a giant Lite-Brite installation near the elevators there are so many special details! 14

  • The bathroom and bedroom area were a tad clinical - a shame, considering the Tribute Portfolio pride themselves on characterful yet comfortable design - however, the latter comes with huge wrap-around windows, letting in plenty of natural light with a view overlooking Disneyland. 17
  • Rooms facing west overlook the 5 freeway, which isn't great, but at least rooms on the upper levels are able to see Disneyland. 1
  • The Top of The V (which is next to the aforementioned outdoor lounge) is pricy, but you can't beat that view. 1
  • The view from at least one side of the hotel is great. 10
  • pretty much all around you are surrounded with amazing and panoramic views over Southern California On camera160:25
