The verdict

Who's travelling?

Pick a traveller type to re-weight the scores and re-rank the rooms around what you actually care about.

Read it your way

Six Senses Fort Barwara is a historic palace conversion in the Rajasthani countryside blending heritage suites with contemporary amenities. Guests praise the expansive Aravali range views, attentive GEM concierges, and dining at venues like Cortile and Rani Bagh. However, rooms suffer from recurring AC problems, limited sunlight through small windows, and bathrooms that become ungodly hot midday due to uninsulated outdoor shower spaces. 176

Food12 mentions · 4 filmed
  • I highly recommend the latter if you are looking for a special dining experience if its a honeymoon, special occasion, etc. The setting is utterly magical and the spread was phenomenal! 9
  • A poolside restaurant named The Rani Bagh which serves Middle Eastern fare is also popular. I tuck into some delicious lamb samosas and chicken shawarma. 7
  • Dinner at the Cortile is also an experience not to be missed, thanks to the candles and folk music played in the courtyard. 6
  • It is also a heart-warming experience to be served by women from the nearby village, who are employed to brew masala tea for breakfast and roll out rotis for lunch and dinner. 7
  • The main restaurant, called The Cortile, is set in a leafy courtyard and serves international and Indian specialities. I loved starting my day with breakfast here, choosing from many local dishes, not forgetting fresh fruit and fermented vegetables! 6
  • they do have a private dining facility or rather a private dining program which could basically be anywhere around the fort but I think that not having a small specialty Indian venue is a big Miss On camera129:56
  • The third restaurant Rani Bagh is poolside and serves fresh fast casual cuisine from an open kitchen. This was our fave spot to grab a quick poolside lunch or a yummy homemade popsicle on a warm afternoon. 9
  • they did have some Indian fair on the menu but none of it was speaking to me so I went full Italian assuming that they would have some decent Western food and that definitely did not disappoint On camera129:46
  • time for breakfast at cortile which is a beautifully decorated open space facing Courtyards on both sides On camera131:31
  • We headed to Cortile for lunch on our arrival day, where the sourdough bruschetta with pea guacamole, beetroot orange smash and dukkah was a fresh and flavourful start that we enjoyed very much after our long drive from Jaipur. 3
  • there was the small Buffet on offer as well as a separate artp menu to me this Buffet is in a category that I like to call quote let's spread everything out and put 300 glass jars of in between and it'll look like a never-ending Sumptuous spread unquote but with the alicart menu as well it was more than sufficient On camera132:08

  • The only downside, if there is one, is that the windows aren't very large, and the sun has trouble penetrating the room. 6
  • Six Senses Fort Barwara quickly becomes a destination that will live in your memories for a very long time. Our Sanctuary Suite at Six Senses Fort Barwara was exactly that, a true sanctuary where we felt immediately at home. 3
  • The suite was so tastefully decorated with the perfect mix of old regal meets modern contemporary vibes, while still incorporating all the state of the art tech details. 9
