  • The treatment and staff are exactly what you would expect. 16
  • Club house folks were great, never saw any staff member on the course, but we did play at 2pm but they let us off 40 minutes early, and gave us free range balls! 21
  • Staying at the Inn, with its discreet, white-glove service, exclusive House access, and views, is almost like being a guest of the Vanderbilts. 2
  • One thing nice about the Holly is you get a bit more of a feel for the town. It gives it a bit less of a resort vibe. Which I found appealing. 6
  • I grabbed a 9i, PW, 50, 60 and putter and proceeded to the starters hut. We were met by a friendly gentleman that gave us a Sunday bag and green repair tools. 3
  • (me too!) To date, it was the most fun and best experience we have had on a golf course together. We were both impressed by the staff, the clubhouse, the practice facility, and the course itself. 27
  • The staff is friendly, and get us right out to the course. 21
  • This Victorian-era hotel provides guests with handsomely furnished accommodations and first-class service. 23
  • and the Holly was again as super Immaculate the the green the fairways were just so nicely cut the staff was incredibly helpful and and let me fly my drone and the course was very receptive On camera195:31
  • They even had a piano player each morning to set the mood. We were met by helpful valets that took our bags and parked the car. 3
  • Packaged included valet parking, so I never used my vehicle during the trip. You can catch a shuttle to any course, or hotel, so no problems. 16
  • The shuttles are great. Whenever you need one just mention it to the front desk and someone will be there in 2-3 minutes. 6
  • The course is busy, so no getting out early, but the clubhouse staff is great, and the bartender keeps the food and beers flowing, if only the rain will hold out. 21
  • and the start the starter and all the starters were great this is the only one that was kind of weird I was kind of surprised On camera154:22

  • The last night our reservations were for the Carolina Dining Room. This was our favorite meal and we felt it was better than 1895. 16
  • The flavors of Pinehurst range from four-star fine dining to barbecue and brews - something for every taste. 29
  • Dinner was included at the Holly Inn and it was fantastic. 6
  • Stop by pinehurst brewery. My group enjoyed the food and beers. 6
  • Forgot to mention breakfast at the Carolina as an important stop as any... good job on that one, and congrats on a great trip! 6
  • The breakfast buffet in the Carolina Room was definitely worth it. Omelet station with all the sides you could expect. They even had a piano player each morning to set the mood. 3
  • Being Valentine's Day, I had reserved dinner in the Carolina Room at the hotel. Collared shirt and slacks required and jacket recommended, which I packed. I ordered the 7 oz. filet, which was amazing. 3
  • The course conditions have always been outstanding. It is Pinehurst so you get the hospitality, the practice facility, the clubhouse with all the history and the Deuce Grill is delicious food. 27
  • The second night we ate at 1895, the 4 diamond restaurant. This was a very nice meal and you are very well taken care of. 16
  • If you do venture out for a dinner one night, I recommend Vito's. Amazing Italian food, a little like going back in time. 17
  • I haven't looked recently, but if you can get a package that does NOT include dinners, that would be one way to save just a few bucks. Pinehurst dining is good, but there are a lot of other good options around town. 4
  • The buffet is very nice, basically anything you could want for breakfast. Juices, Fruit, Pastries, Breakfast Meats, Pancakes, Waffles, French Toast, Omelets. 16
  • I would imagine that it is even better in cooler weather when sitting on the front porch would be more comfortable. Our first night we grabbed dinner at the Tavern. Dinner was good and very similar to the RC lounge. I would say it is better than the typical bar food. 16
  • Breakfast at the Carolina the next morning was great. I'm always a fan of the omelet bar but the fruits put it over the top. 6
  • I never knew how good brussels sprouts could be until I tried them as an appetizer, and then as a side item, at lunch at The Deuce, the pub restaurant on-site at Pinehurst's main golf complex. 5
  • The numbers work surprisingly well too. The three-course Bell Golf Package at Pine Needles bundles two nights' accommodation with all three rounds, breakfast, dinner and carts. 8
  • We arrived early at the Holly Inn and the rooms were ready. We headed to No 8 on the shuttle and had a great lunch at the clubhouse. 6

  • All three options boast spacious guest rooms and classic Southern decor with bright, neutral tones and elegant-yet-cozy furniture. 23
  • Tobacco Road is the obvious starting point. Mike Strantz's course is one of the most distinctive in the country, and its unconventional layout makes it unlike the other courses in this series. 8
  • The Hotel is old school but very nice. Our room was a nice size with a king bed, sitting area and walk-in closet. 16
  • While No.2 has all the history and difficulty, No.4 counters with more fun in the layout and several risk/reward opportunities; particularly down the stretch where you can make or break your round. 14
  • My one complaint would be the bed was extremely soft, but I'm being picky. We had a nice size TV, probably 50 inch. 16

  • How is PH #9? Typical Jack Nicklaus dogshit. Nothing special and certainly not worth what they are charging to play. 13
  • The cart girl was out of this world, if she worked at a gentleman's club, I would be broke. This course is not expensive for the area, yet for the price, might be one of the best values in the whole country!!! 21

  • four Pinehurst the resort it's a great Resort it's a top tier kind of expensive Resort and I feel sometimes you don't get all the luxury On camera111:33
  • This was considerably more expensive than the other destination we've been to. It ended up about $3,500/guy. Kiawah last year was about $2,500/guy. Glad we checked it off the bucket list, but for that kind of money I doubt we'll be back. 30
  • The atmosphere is nice with piano music while dinning. We had lunch at the Ryder Cup lounge on the day of arrival. The food was good and not terribly overpriced. 16
  • The price is high, but you get more than just a round of golf. 27
  • four Pinehurst the resort it's a great Resort it's a top tier kind of expensive Resort and I feel sometimes you don't get all the luxury but it is an outstanding location a destination for family golf trips On camera111:33
  • As others have eluded to, all the Pinehurst courses were just way out of our price range this spring so we're gonna play Tobacco Road, Pine Needles, and Mid Pines instead 6
  • They play everything as "waste area" not bunkers. This is purely because they are too cheap to maintain the actual bunkers as bunkers so they just call them "waste areas". We just decided if you're in a bunker in a hole just take it out of the hole. Ridiculous this happens at $400 dollar courses. 30
  • After that we had breakfast and dinner in the Carolina (all part of our package). It cost a good deal of money but I don't consider it "expensive" when looking at what the quality of everything included. 16
