Read it your way

Meliá Berlin sits right on the River Spree by Friedrichstraße, offering an excellent base for exploring the city on foot or via nearby transit. Guests appreciate the clean, nicely sized rooms, quiet river views, and efficient reception staff. However, the breakfast buffet is often described as average and charges extra fees for freshly prepared eggs, while some rooms lack a fridge. 10582

  • I stayed at the Meliá Berlin on Friedrichstraße & The Spree. It was the perfect location & a great hotel. 8
  • It was close to everything we wanted to do on that trip and wasn't far to walk to public transport for stuff not in the immediate area. We really liked Hotel Adelante in the Mitte. It was clean, conveniently located for walking and transit, and had the biggest shower I've ever had in Europe! 2

  • I stayed at the Berlin Hilton for 4 nights in May 2019 for $105 euros. Don't know how I got that good of rate but the hotel was very nice. 2
  • I stayed at the Hyperion Hotel Berlin (which is in the Charlottenburg area) earlier this month. It turned out to be by far my favorite hotel on the entire trip. The hotel is beautiful and the rooms are really nice. 8

  • We booked a room overlooking the river for seven nights and had no issues with the traffic noise at all - perhaps in part because as cities go Berlin was quiet (it being the summer) - and with the window closed you couldn't hear the traffic at all. 2
