Read it your way

This hotel serves as a clean, practical base for travelers visiting Disneyland. Guests consistently praise the spotless rooms, friendly check-in staff, and complimentary hot breakfast. However, visitors frequently complain about slow elevator speeds and notice traffic noise in rooms facing the freeway. In addition, the in-room mini refrigerators lack a functional freezer compartment. 79151

  • The 1 trip we stayed at Grand Legacy I wasn't overly impressed with their rooms, I remember the bathroom being kind of weird, and their "snack bag" in the mornings was a joke. 12
  • however towels turned out to be a minor issue during our stay because there was no place to hang a hand towel after use so we had to leave it on the countertop where it didn't dry very well there was one hook on the door for hanging bath towels but when you have four or six people in a room one towel hook does not go very far 72:07

  • They go out of their way to do whatever will make your stay enjoyable. It's a great location so the walk to Disney was short. 9
  • The Holiday Inn Express & Suites is about a 10-15 minute walk depending on your speed. You only have to cross Harbor Blvd to get into the Disneyland Resort area! We found it very convenient and a great location. 4

  • We haven't tried any of the other restaurants yet. We did encounter some issues with room availability at check in. Sundays seem to be the worse day to check in. We waited almost until 6pm for our room to be available. I think staffing shortages was an issue with this . 1

  • The Westin Heavenly bedding is top notch, with a plush pillowtop mattress and head-absorbing pillows. Without question, we found this to be the highlight of our guest room at the Westin. 1

  • We had been hoping to stay here again for the 2026 D23 Expo, but the prices are currently, ahem, a tad bit prohibitive. (One month out, it's over $900 per night, which is over triple the normal rate. Here's hoping prices plummet closer to the event!) 1
  • Clearly, this isn't a value hotel but considering the free parking, free Wifi, and no resort fees, those rates are a tad easier to swallow. 6

  • Once we could check into our room, we were pleasantly surprised by a very clean and comfortable space. 11
  • Additionally, on the counter next to that is a microwave for guests to use. There are no microwaves in the rooms, so this is a nice and welcomed perk, though I would've preferred an in-room. 6
  • Too tired to try the extras but the room was nice and we loved the shower. 1
  • With that said, my perspective on the room was much more positive once we got one with a balcony overlooking Pixar Pier. Who could've guessed that makes for a more luxurious experience than looking at some dumpsters?! 1
  • The one I got was for a deluxe room and I had a great courtyard view and could see DCA from the balcony. That view and balcony do make a difference. 1
  • the only complaint I had about the hotel room or the beds and it was too firm for my taste beds are very personal so everyone has a different opinion on what's more comfortable to them On camera155:14
  • Storage space was decent, as we had a closet near the bathroom to hang our clothing and stash away our luggage. 6
  • We've also stayed at the JW Marriott, and I prefer the Westin's hotel layout a lot more. There's just something I don't like about the multi-level escalator entrance / lobby at the JW. 1
  • this hotel room sleep six people it's laid out quite well there's two queen beds and then there is a couch which has a pullout bed in there On camera151:59
  • Tom - I'd be very interested to read any recent experiences you've had with early entry at Disneyland. We stayed here in July, and if you can book one of the Park View rooms with balcony and view of DCA, it makes a big difference in, as Tom stated, "perceived quality". 1
  • Honestly, my only gripe with the room was the severe lack of USB ports. For a modern hotel, especially one close to a convention center, the room should be crawling with them. 6
  • The mini refrigerator was roomy enough for us. We brought protein drinks, a few PRIMES, a couple energy drinks, and drinkable yogurts and still had more room to play with had we needed it. 6
  • Our room was impeccably clean, well appointed, and had an amazingly comfortable mattress and pillows. 6
  • we booked a basic room with two queen beds and a pullout sofa the room sleep six but it was perfect for a family of four and it provided plenty of space to spread out and sleep comfortably On camera71:47

  • We've yet to dine at this Fleming's location (it's a chain), but have done Puesto a couple of times. It's fantastic. Granted, there's a lot of fantastic Mexican cuisine in Southern California, but for a restaurant around the Anaheim Convention Center, it's an excellent option with exceptional atmosphere and good cuisine. 1
  • I doubt we would pay extra for this since we are out and about all day in the parks . We had breakfast a few times in the lobby restaurant and was good enough . 1
  • across from the buffet there was a pancake maker that unfortunately was out of order for our enti enire trip however hot cinnamon rolls were served right next to it every day without fail On camera77:24
  • the morning breakfast buffet featured many great selections that are sure to please anyone in your party On camera76:42
  • 5th - using Amex fine hotels. We were upgraded to the balcony view ( nice!) and rec'd buffet breakfast for 2 ( normally $70 for 2)(It was outstanding!); and a $100 food credit ( used to buy sandwiches for lunch and a couple drinks at the rooftop bar). 1
  • The breakfast every morning was great. 9
  • The pool bar food and drinks are a great alternative. 1
  • It would be nice to have breakfast hours extended by at least an hour, between long days at the parks and such comfy beds, we had a hard time making it up and out before 9:30. But that is such a small negative. 11
  • The dining slate alone is unrivaled, and other common areas are incredibly nice. 1
  • Behind that main wall is plenty of seating options for the free breakfast every morning (a huge money saving bonus). 4
  • for this since we are out and about all day in the parks . We had breakfast a few times in the lobby restaurant and was good enough . 1
  • The staff, pool, hot tub, and free breakfast were excellent! 9
  • Fleming's provided a very nice meal, and walking up Disneyland Drive and cutting through the Grand Californian is a huge timesaver. 1
  • The breakfast option was so so. We were upgraded to club level room so we took advantage of the free continental breakfast and snacks in the club room . 1
  • In one regard, the Westin Anaheim Resort outshines every other hotel near Disneyland: dining. There's no fewer than a half-dozen stand out restaurants at the Westin, each bringing something unique to the table. 1
  • I wish I could say that about the coffee store outside the lobby, the food is lacking in both quality and taste. 1
  • The food was good, and we also enjoyed some nightcaps at their bar. 12
  • The breakfast every morning was great. There was a great variety of good food. 9

  • The bathroom was very well appointed with great toiletry amenities. You don't need to bring any soap, shampoo, or lotion if you want to save on space when packing! 11
  • Too tired to try the extras but the room was nice and we loved the shower. 1
  • the bathroom is bright I enjoyed the shower the sink had plenty of space to spread out and feel more at home On camera152:58
  • The big winner is the walk-in shower, as walk-ins are my preference. 6
  • just allot yourself a little extra time in the morning to get out of the hotel because of that bathroom configuration but rest assured this room will fit you and you'll have a great time at the Disneyland Resort On camera157:33
  • The 1 trip we stayed at Grand Legacy I wasn't overly impressed with their rooms, I remember the bathroom being kind of weird, and their "snack bag" in the mornings was a joke. 12
  • The bathroom, at least in the king room, is the part of the room that makes Hotel Indigo stand out from most, as many hotels in the area tend to phone it in as it pertains to bathrooms. I feel Hotel Indigo did a great job, especially considering the space constraints. 6
  • On a positive note, the bathroom is spacious and features a walk-in rain shower as well as a large bathtub. The vanity is large, lighting abundant, and finishings are high end. Along with the Heavenly beds, these bathrooms are another highlight of the Westin Anaheim. 1
  • The vessel-style sink is a nice touch, as is the in-mirror lighting. 6

  • Other than that though, I prefer Hotel Indigo. Nicer staff, free parking, comfortable and clean rooms. 12
  • From the moment we checked in, to each time we walked in and out or passed staff in the hall, we felt welcomed and truly taken care of. Sometimes customer service is good and sometimes it's excellent. Theirs was excellent from our experience. 4
  • The hotel was lovely, the rooms spacious, and the staff was friendly. 1
  • the hotel staff were happy to provide extra pillows upon request and we found that to make the situation a lot more comfortable we were able to put up our feet and have enough neck support to rest easy every night On camera75:07
  • We haven't tried any of the other restaurants yet. We did encounter some issues with room availability at check in. Sundays seem to be the worse day to check in. We waited almost until 6pm for our room to be available. 1
  • I also appreciated the great channel selection on the tv and great reception as well. 9
  • Don't get me wrong-these rooms come across as higher end. There are also nice little touches, but the Westin rooms don't reach quite the same level as those at the JW Marriott. Perhaps the sophistication here is a bit too subtle for my tastes. 1
  • The staff were friendly and especially kind toward my children while One agent checked us in another engaged with our kids and gave each of them a small toy On camera71:01
  • While we wouldn't rank it as the #1 luxury hotel in North America by objective standards, it's easy to see why it'd win the award once accounting for the soft product and guest satisfaction scores. It's a fantastic property, with a great location and high service standards. 1
  • the staff here was amazing I was greeted when I came into the hotel I was helped by many different people everyone was extremely friendly and wanted to help us out and just get us checked in On camera150:47

  • Finally and perhaps most significantly for us, the walk is much more pleasant from the Westin Anaheim to Disneyland as going through Downtown Disney beats walking along Harbor and Katella. 1
  • We like the location since it's next to the Gardenwalk for other restaurant options, and near the CVS and/or Walgreens. 12
  • They go out of their way to do whatever will make your stay enjoyable. It's a great location so the walk to Disney was short. 9
  • While we wouldn't rank it as the #1 luxury hotel in North America by objective standards, it's easy to see why it'd win the award once accounting for the soft product and guest satisfaction scores. It's a fantastic property, with a great location and high service standards. 1
  • The 20 minute walk to the front gates is an easy stroll, you don't have to deal with all the vagrants that are on Harbor. Plus with the exit from the back of Paradise Pier, it does save some time at the end of the day. 1
  • The Holiday Inn Express & Suites is about a 10-15 minute walk depending on your speed. You only have to cross Harbor Blvd to get into the Disneyland Resort area! We found it very convenient and a great location. 4
  • The walk to Disneyland was very short! Would definitely recommend this hotel! 9

  • Even a "Penthouse Suite" like the one we stayed in was a very decent price and such a perfect upgrade for a family with bigger kids like mine. There was plenty of room to stretch out and I love how a lot of the furniture was versatile. It made staying a few nights super comfortable for all of us. 4
  • The rate was higher, but I think it ended up being quite the bargain ( do the math for your own situation). 1

  • With that said, prices are still reasonable so long as you book an off-season date when there are no events in town at the adjacent Anaheim Convention Center. 1
  • Their rooms are comfortable and very reasonably priced for the area. Even a "Penthouse Suite" like the one we stayed in was a very decent price and such a perfect upgrade for a family with bigger kids like mine. 4

  • The Westin Heavenly bedding is top notch, with a plush pillowtop mattress and head-absorbing pillows. Without question, we found this to be the highlight of our guest room at the Westin. 1
  • Jumping back into the sleeping area, the bed comes with pillows of varying firmness. On the opening side of the pillow sheet there is wording indicting which is which. That was a nice touch as at other hotels in Anaheim, I've had to deal with what I call "flat" pillows that offer me no support. 6
  • we found the refrigerator to be inadequate the freezer portion of the refrigerator did not work well and it isn't a full-fledged freezer instead it's a compartment that just gets a little colder than the rest of the fridge On camera73:07
