The verdict

Who's travelling?

Pick a traveller type to re-weight the scores and re-rank the rooms around what you actually care about.

Read it your way

The Hilton Frankfurt City Centre provides a modern, well-situated base close to the park and downtown attractions. Guests regularly highlight the comfortable beds, spacious soaking tubs, and sweeping skyline views from the upper floors. However, on-site food and drink prices run high, with 24-euro burgers and 31-euro schnitzel, and parking is limited to valet. 11567

What travelers noticed

  • Upper-floor rooms on the 10th floor offer sweeping views across the Frankfurt skyline and the park. 1137
  • The beds earn consistent praise for their cosy bedding, high sleeping comfort, and supportive mattresses. 7
  • Bathrooms are spacious, featuring large vanity mirrors, walk-in showers, and bathtubs large enough for two. 2057
  • The morning breakfast spread is widely applauded for its variety and quality. drawn from the full read

The catch

  • While some guests praise the work areas for having large desks and good chairs, others find the tables too small for documents and complain that non-adjustable desk chairs cause back pain. 5
  • Reviewers also disagree on staff interactions, with elite loyalty members reporting seamless suite upgrades and great treatment, while other guests encounter less friendly service and rigid management. drawn from the full read

Who it's for

  • Business and leisure travelers wanting a central parkside base
  • Hilton Honors elite members seeking suite upgrades
  • Guests who prioritize soaking tubs and high-floor skyline views

Skip it if

  • Budget-conscious travelers avoiding 24-euro burgers and 31-euro schnitzel
  • Drivers looking for self-parking rather than valet service
  • Workers needing height-adjustable ergonomic desk chairs

  • If you'd like to spend a little more at the HGI but BE WARNED, it's right at the end of the Bahnhofsviertel, that's a ghetto neighborhood. 6
  • In terms of the Hilton's location, it's within walking distance of just about anywhere you could want to go. Then again, Frankfurt is fairly centralized, so there's not really a hotel I've stayed at in the city that I'd say has an inconvenient location. But the Hilton was especially practical for the Christmas Markets, since it was a five minute walk to some of the major ones. 10
  • Or, is there another option? There are two Marriott properties hooked onto the airport in-between the airport terminal and train station. I have stayed there a couple times the last few years and it is so convenient; very easy to walk; all covered without going outside. 9
  • I don't like this wall paper much. It is a very nice hotel in a nice quiet location that is a 15 minute walk walk to the main downtown. 19
  • The Altstadt is within walking distance of Hilton Frankfurt City Centre, which is the advantage of staying in the heart of the city. 11
  • Great location! The hotel is right smack in the city centre. You are within walking distance to most attractions and the shopping area. 1
  • Furthermore, the location is good, far enough away from the city's social hotspots. On camera75:40
  • The location is very good since you are within minutes of the city centre. Everything is within walking distance. 1
  • The central location makes it a great choice for business and leisure travellers alike. 11
  • Safe travels! We have stayed at the Hilton Garden Inn at the Frankfurt airport multiple times. Easily walkable. It works well for us the night before a flight back to the US 9
  • We passed by the hotel enroute from and to the airport.....staying at the Jumeirah tower downtown. We enjoy Rocco Forte hotels elsewhere but found this one's location a little out-of-the-way for our first stay in Frankfurt. 19

  • At first glance, you'll most likely notice that the room is significantly more decoratively designed than most rooms in other Hilton hotels in Germany. I like that. On camera70:35
  • Overall, I really liked the design and styling of the suite. The design was relatively contemporary and brought some interesting colours and textures in, giving it quite a bit more personality than you get in some executive suites. 5
  • The beds are incredibly comfortable, as is typical for Hilton hotels, and offer a high level of sleeping comfort. There's an armchair by the window; it's a bit old-fashioned but doesn't look worn. 7
  • We feel so privileged when we step into our gorgeously spacious King Executive Room on the 10th floor, with sweeping views of Frankfurt's skyline, the park, and the mountains in the distance, from not one, but two floor-to-ceiling windows covering two sides of the room. 11
  • Yeah the doubletree in wroclaw is really good. I travel there for work fairly often and even from a standard king room I get upgraded to a suite like 50% of the time! 12
  • I just arrived here in Zurich. Upgraded executive floor room looks great. 12
  • The door opens onto the sitting area of the suite, which had a large, wide window and excellent views over Frankfurt. 5
  • What a beautiful building but what terribly ugly furniture in all of the public spaces! 19
  • Immediately in front of this unit is an excellent desk, with a sensible yet stylish chair and a good desk lamp. The desk had a selection of socket options - two USBs, a European 2-prong socket and a UK three-prong socket, which was very useful. 5
  • The large sitting area itself has a small sofa and comfortable Eames-style chair with footstool, along with cushions along the large window seat. 5
  • I stayed at the Hilton hotel a few years ago. It's about a 10 minute walk from the terminal via an enclosed walkway. Nice upgraded room and breakfast. 9
  • Through the back of the bedroom area there's a wardrobed-lined passage leading to the bathroom. There is plenty of storage space, with ceiling-height shelves behind one door and a double, full-length wardrobe meaning long dresses won't get crumpled. 5
  • The TV is large enough considering the distance between the bed and the TV. On camera71:08
  • I generally associate Hiltons with being a bit dated, but the room was actually gorgeous. It was modern, spacious (enough), and well appointed. 10
  • On the second stay, I requested an upgrade (Gold HHonors) to a room with a better view, and was given a beautiful corner room with the outer walls both mostly window overlooking a park. 20
  • Hilton Frankfurt King Executive Room toiletries So I really liked the room. It's also worth noting that the internet in the room was legitimately high speed. It's sad that's noteworthy, but I rarely find it to be the case, so... 10
  • There is a king-sized double bed, writing desk, sofa and table, tea-coffee maker, ice bucket, and welcome chocolates as well. We are pleased to see a bath-tub in the swanky bathroom, equipped with luxurious toiletries and a shower cubicle. 11
  • I did wish that they had a proper Nespresso coffee machine over here but with an executive lounge, the impact isn't huge. 1
  • Only issue for me, I dislike, that they have no real desk in the room anymore. 5
  • I had a real wow moment when I entered my suite thanks to the impressive view - making the huge windows the focal point of the room, which really worked. 5
  • Upon entering, I was very pleased with the decor and the look of the place. This is very modern and gorgeous. The rooms are nicely designed. 1
  • The TV is also left on top of the chest and it is of a good size for the room. You can find a good number of both cable and international TV channels. 1
  • Oh and I actually got a room upgrade without having to ask. Imagine! 12
  • Even though I had a standard room I much prefer the decor as it was a pretty room. I don't like this wall paper much. 19
  • I just arrived here in Zurich. Upgraded executive floor room looks great. About to check out the executive lounge happy hour. Can't wait for the breakfast tomorrow! 12
  • The terrace was a calm spot to enjoy a drink and some dinner. 5

  • Man your picture made me miss Berlin. I think I have the same picture and probably same seat lol Breakfast is also so good. Time to book a trip 12
  • What I remember positively is the rich and large breakfast buffet, which, compared to other hotel hotels, is truly one of the better ones. On camera74:42
  • By comparison the breakfast spread was pretty good, and consisted of yogurt, fruit, cereal, bread, cheese, meat, all kinds of pastries, etc. 10
  • The restaurant is located on the ground floor towards the side. It is a very pretty restaurant and comes with a lovely view of the surrounding gardens. 1
  • I am a huge fan of breakfast in Germany. You can find a nice selection of breads, pastries, hot food, a huge salad spread, cold cuts, cereals and cheese. They even had avocado toast available. I love the tons of fresh food items. 1
  • Start your day right with a delicious breakfast and stay connected with complimentary Wi-Fi throughout the property. 17
  • Hilton Frankfurt City Centre appears to be at nearly full occupancy, and we're glad the restaurant is large enough to accommodate everyone comfortably. 11
  • I have nothing but good things to say about this hotel. I love the rooms and they had a decent breakfast. The executive lounge is also great. 1
  • The breakfast buffet, which is included for Diamond members, is sumptuous and worlds away from what one can cobble together with a measly $15 a day food beverage credit in NA. 12
  • The rooms offered a spectacular view of the Frankfurt Skyline, and the breakfast buffet was very respectable as well. 3
  • It is a spectacular sunrise that we can observe from two perspectives: the breaking dawn to the extreme left, and the stunning reflections on the glass buildings on the right. We head to the park-view restaurant in the lobby for breakfast and find a delightful spread waiting for us. 11
  • I've stayed at the Hilton Zurich airport several times. It is excellent. Not only are the rooms pristine, the breakfast buffet is by far the best I've ever had and I've been a diamond member consistently since 2011. 12
  • The breakfast buffet was excellent with lots to pick from, including a cooked-to-order egg station, lots of hot options, cold meats and cheeses and - as one would expect in Frankfurt - an excellent bakery array. 5
  • Breakfast is served buffet style and the spread is very good. Drinks-wise, they had coffee, tea, juices, smoothies and even sparkling wine on offer. 1
  • I've always had good experiences at Hilton hotels especially when travelling as a family - always have decent facilities and greta breakfast - this one looks perfect as a base to explore the city Laura x 2
  • I think you've been overly generous to the food to be honest. I think your review contains a lot of clues as to why there were only two people dining there! There are a lot of pleasant places to eat in Frankfurt for a lot less than that. 5
  • I stayed at the Hilton hotel a few years ago. It's about a 10 minute walk from the terminal via an enclosed walkway. Nice upgraded room and breakfast. 9
  • This one in Frankfurt is very impressive where you stayed. I love the views from your room, the breakfast and the pool. 2
  • I've stayed at Hampton in Amsterdam. Amazing breakfast 12
  • The breakfast menu is exhaustive, and one can enjoy post-dinner drinks at the lobby bar or cigar lounge. 11
  • For example, Hampton in Gdansk and Oliwa, Poland are actually my choices over some luxury hotels because they're simple but so quiet and clean compared to their NA equivalents. And breakfasts are real food, not powdered eggs and dry cereal. 12

  • The standing shower is fully enclosed and comes with a handheld showerhead. Nicely designed without water from getting all over the place. Water pressure is decent and temperature control is excellent. 1
  • Oh, the bathroom, I really like the bathroom, the white marble, the gold fixtures, and what's more, the bathroom not only has a bathtub but also a separate shower. On camera72:32
  • Under a large mirror along the back wall runs a vanity unit and stool which was useful additional surface space. 5
  • The rooms were spacious and very comfortable, the bathroom huge and ergonomic, and the towels large and soft enough serve as a model for a Sybarite. 20

  • Everything appears to run smoothly at the hotel, from the swift check-in and check-out, to the efficient and friendly service throughout. 5
  • As far as a nice hotel goes in Frankfurt: Hilton Frankfurt City Centre is the best one. It's right by the heart of the (good) city centre, facilities are nice and modern. 16
  • At both meals the service was very good, with friendly and helpful staff. 5
  • The closest in walking distance is the Hilton City Centre. It's for sure also the coolest - at least it has the best and most modern hard product. The team was unfortunately not the most friendly and not the most efficient - particularly for the high price level based on German standard. 6
  • After a short wait, I was helped by a warm lady who proceeded to assist me and thank me for being a diamond member. 1
  • Check in is a breeze starting at 3:00 p.m. and you can enjoy a relaxed morning with check-out available until 12:00 p.m. giving you plenty of time to explore or prepare for your departure. 17
  • Review spot on, it was a great place to stay before devaluation. Close to the pedestrian walkway and restaurants. Staff always great. 3
  • Reception is located to the right, and I was immediately assisted by the friendly associate. 10
  • The hotel staff is so gracious - they invite us to wait in the Executive Lounge while our room is getting ready. 11
  • The restaurant was a bit quirky, from the name to the design, but service was friendly and the spread was good. 10
  • I don't like this wall paper much. It is a very nice hotel in a nice quiet location that is a 15 minute walk walk to the main downtown. The staff are very kind and helpful. 19
  • When I stayed at the Frankfurt Airport Hilton I was upgraded and got a free Monday which was nice. The staff were very helpful printing documents. 5
  • DoubleTree Niederrad is nice, but a bit off the city. Need a train to get to the city centre. 16
  • Check-in was quick and efficient and the hotel recognised me as a Hilton Honors member. 5
  • Close to the pedestrian walkway and restaurants. Staff always great. 10

  • The only weird thing about the room was a rattling noise I heard every few hours throughout my stay. It sounded a bit like a cart rolling down the hallway with a bunch of glasses. It wasn't loud or frequent enough to truly be bothersome, though I did find it a bit odd. 10

  • Hampton Messe at the fair is quite at the edge of the city - of there is no fair, the prices are great. 6
  • The menu features a lot of 'New York classics' (burgers) along with some Frankfurt favourites such as veal schnitzel. Prices are quite high - a burger is €24 and veal schnitzel is €31. 5
  • Oh and the rates we're surprisingly reasonable for early August! They even went down after I initially booked several months ago, so I was able to rebook all three a couple of weeks ago and save some money. 12

  • Jo will suggest a downtown Frankfurt hotel and a very quick train ride to the airport.) We walk to United gates. We have picked up to-go roast chicken plus snacks and sodas from the grocery store near the hotel and had relaxing last dinner -- much better than the overpriced hotel restaurants! 21
  • Considering that hotels in Frankfurt are generally quite cheap compared to most other major cities, I'd say that €220 is pretty bad value. 3
  • And if you opt to stay in an Executive Room, you get great value for money as you have access to refreshments at the Executive Lounge all day, including a complimentary breakfast and free WiFi. 11
