  • When I returned I opened the door and an envelope was slipped under the door with a card in it and it said something to the effect of "we hope and pray that your father makes a speedy recovery..." along with a gift card. From that moment on I became mostly loyal to Hilton as I felt that a lot of the staff cared more than they did at Marriott during the time I was really traveling. 1

  • I stayed in Hamptons about once a month for a couple years - clean, comfortable and cheap (but I agree they vary somewhat). 1
  • The prices are so good because this is an area that folks usually do not seek- out unless they are staying for a reason. 9

  • If we really wanted to label it Hampton is more budget friendly, you get free breakfast and aside from the market that is your only food amenity. 1
  • Even though we made one other stop before our hotel, it only took us about 10 minutes to arrive. There was also a free, continental breakfast available in the morning. This was also a great perk so that we could get a little something in our stomachs before heading on the ship. 2
  • I just got tired of the below average coffee and choices for breakfast and have switched to HGI or other nicer Hilton's. 1
  • It's fine as a place to stay for a night & leave your car; it's just not a particularly "touristy" area - no pretty water views & such, not much in the way of restaurant options, not much entertainment (movies, fun things to do, etc) in the immediate area, other than the casino. 9
  • No usb ports except for the clock radio, breakfast was crap. I went over to H2S and Fairfield and both had way better breakfast. 4
  • the batter for the blueberries a little watery and you can tell it's a little fluffy but it's fine so let me try some of my breakfast On camera109:37
  • If we really wanted to label it Hampton is more budget friendly, you get free breakfast and aside from the market that is your only food amenity. Typically very basic (usually outdated) rooms 1
  • this breakfast looks good definitely worth it you guys and it's not as dizzy as it just was a minute ago so I am going to think I'm going to have a little breakfast hang out before I go upstairs On camera73:33
  • Home2 and Tru kinda sit in the middle of them if that makes sense? They're kinda newer brands, so they tend to be in nicer shape with more modernized and cleaner LOOKING rooms (old rooms are dingy, sorry), but like Hampton they only offer complimentary breakfast and a market in the way of food. 1

  • This property is close to the airport and about a 20 minute drive to Port of Tampa. This property offers a free shuttle pickup and drop off to TPA (Tampa International Airport). This worked great. 2
  • In addition, This area is not really that close to the port. I would pay a little more and perhaps stay in downtown Tampa or Westshore, near the Airport, or on Rocky Point. 9
  • The surrounding neighborhood, around the Tampa fairgrounds, is not the best but you should be ok if you stick to staying at your hotel or a local restaurant. 9
  • Was insulted by "Consierge" at Downtown ,Hilton ,because Wasent A Customer ,and ,WONT BE ONE EITHER ! 3
  • Personally, I like the Hilton Tampa Westshore, there are some restaurants which are walkable (mainly chains). 3
  • Embassy Suites downtown is a good location but dated too. 3
  • What is nearby? It was pretty reasonable at $104 plus tax. It was the cheapest park and cruise Marriott so it's making me wonder. 9
  • The downside to staying near the airport instead of downtown, is that there are only two restaurants within walking distance of the property. 2
  • The Embasy suites downtown is plain, but the most walkable to channelside/ water street which has a million things to do. 3
  • offers a free shuttle pickup and drop off to TPA (Tampa International Airport). This worked great. Once we got our bags and made our way to the designated hotel shuttle pickup area, we called the hotel and they sent someone over within minutes. 2
  • very very Lov location so make sure if you're in the Tampa area this is definitely one to put on top of your list to stay for sure On camera1010:58
  • Hotel Flor is the most unique, it's the former Hotel Floridian which is pushing the 1920s motif, but newly updated. It's on the farther end of downtown so a little less walkable. 3

  • How do they get away with charging so much for such cheap stuff? The refrigerator is cheap, the rooms are unimpressive and awkard. 4
  • I stayed in Hamptons about once a month for a couple years - clean, comfortable and cheap (but I agree they vary somewhat). 1
  • The prices are so good because this is an area that folks usually do not seek- out unless they are staying for a reason. 9
  • I like Home2 Suites for travel with family, but I actually think it's intended to be more a budget option than Hampton Inn. The extra space is good and they tend to be newer so sometimes the rate will be higher. 1
  • Reddit - The heart of the internet Who TF likes Hampton Inn and Why??? Its not that I hate the hotel but its because its soooooooooo overly priced compared to even other Hilton brands. why??? I would NEVER book a Hampton Inn with my own money unless it was no other choice. 4

  • We stay at Hamptons a lot - especially on road trips in the USA. There are also two Hamptons in NYC where we stay every time we are there. Consistently clean, decent service, free "breakfast" which may or may not be to your tastes. 1

  • Consistently clean, decent service, free "breakfast" which may or may not be to your tastes. We've only had one bad Hampton experience out of literally hundreds of stays - Laramie, Wyoming. It was filthy and smelled like cigarettes. 1
