Read it your way

Flanigan's Resort and Spa is a collection of small lodging buildings set a half-mile from the south entrance of Zion National Park. Guests consistently praise the comfortable rooms with gas fireplaces, scenic peak views from the pool, and fresh meals at the Spotted Dog Cafe. Helpful front desk staff assist with canyoneering recommendations, guided hike tips, and loaner bikes. However, groups have experienced hiccups such as the hotel running out of reserved rollaway beds upon arrival. 12621

  • We could easily have fit a rollaway bed. Our only quibble is that despite a reservation for three they were out of rollaway beds when we arrive (they said they'd just ordered more for the summer). 12

Value

  • Hotels this close to a national park are expensive. We booked late and had to go directly to the hotel, which meant we paid the rack rate ($249). But we felt that we got our money's worth with a good location, great service, a big comfortable room, a very nice pool and an onsite restaurant we enjoyed. 12
