The verdict

Who's travelling?

Pick a traveller type to re-weight the scores and re-rank the rooms around what you actually care about.

Read it your way

Deer Lodge provides rustic mountain lodging within a five-minute walk of Lake Louise and surrounding trails. Guests appreciate the locally sourced cuisine and views of Victoria Glacier from the Caribou Lounge. However, rooms suffer from practically unusable Wi-Fi, lack in-room fridges, and require carrying luggage up three floors without an elevator. 671011

  • Guests highlight the outdoor hot tub and views of Victoria Glacier from the Caribou Lounge as standout features. 67

The catch

  • Even though there was no elevator, the perks outweighed the cons. It was a bit of a hassle to bring our luggage up, but staff would have helped if we asked. But, this way, we didn't have any noise from any upstairs neighbours. And! We got the best view of the mountains! 10
