Read it your way

Bahia Mar Fort Lauderdale Beach is an oceanfront hotel located 10 minutes from Port Everglades, connected to the shore by a private skywalk. Guests enjoy direct ocean vistas alongside views of mega yachts in the surrounding marina. However, standard rooms in the detached Marina building are noticeably dated, and guests frequently report slow elevators and long check-in lines. 41482

Every line below traces back to something a traveler actually wrote — open a line to read the original sentence and follow it to the source.

What travelers noticed

  • Guests consistently praise the property's convenient location for pre-cruise stays roughly 10 minutes from Port Everglades. 81214
  • The views are a major highlight, offering direct vantage points of the ocean, incoming cruise ships, and massive yachts in the marina. 312
  • A private skywalk connecting the hotel directly across to the beach is widely appreciated by beachgoers. 4142

The catch

  • While some guests praise spacious suites with soaking tubs and large storage areas, others note that standard rooms in the detached Marina building feel run down with worn carpeting and small bathrooms. 94
  • Some visitors find the on-site deli and drink prices reasonable for a hotel, whereas others criticize high costs like thirty-dollar continental breakfasts and expensive snacks. 18

Who it's for

  • Pre-cruise travelers sailing from Port Everglades
  • Guests who want direct skywalk access to the beach
  • Yacht and marina watchers

Skip it if

  • Travelers frustrated by long check-in waits and slow elevators
  • Guests assigned to older standard rooms in the detached Marina building
  • Budget diners looking to avoid pricey breakfast buffets

  • Coming into the bathroom, you can see we have a single vanity with a back lit mirror. And there's the facilities, of course, and a nice soaking tub with bath amenities and a shower as well. So, very nice bathroom, which is separate from the sink and the vanity, so two people can be in the bathroom at the same time. 11:55
  • on our left here we have the washroom give you a quick tour of that you have soaps right here the door you have the shower and the toilet and the shower is sort of a slightly modern type of rain head but not rain so we've got that looking back it's quite you know functional it's not amazing but it's functional 84:14

  • Check-in took forever. Elevators took even longer. 24
  • The staff is well trained, they host evening experiences and location is great. 24
  • Bahia Mar was nice-they actually upgraded me to a suite! But I was only there one night in the middle of the week. 21
  • I stayed at the Double Tree last January. The hotel is nice (although our room was a little run down.) Service was great. 18
  • Pool ledge had broken glass. Pool staff did nothing but shrug. 24
  • Bathrooms in standard rooms are very small and basic, but tidy. 4
  • Pool staff did nothing but shrug. 24
  • Between Conrad and Beach House, I like beach House much better- friendlier staff, better pool, and I have always gotten a better upgrade there. 24
  • A private bridge links this beachfront property to the sand, where attendants manage guest lounge chairs. On-site, the tower offers balconies overlooking the marina and ocean. Made for beachgoers, less so for anyone needing prompt housekeeping. 2
  • Conrad in late 2025 was extremely underwhelming. No upgrade for a many-year LTD, despite availability. Check-in took forever. 24
Location15 mentions · 1 filmed
  • Still a great deal IMO. It's a great location, close to the beach (right across the street via an over the road walkway) with a few resaurants close by. 19
  • Located on a busy street across from Fort Lauderdale Beach Park, the hotel is within quick walking distance to the shops and restaurants on the Strip, but far enough away so that noise isn't an issue. 4
  • Great location, nice little market right at the hotel, close to airport and Port Everglades. 9
  • Still, tourists also love that this is practically a beachfront property, thanks to a private skywalk connecting to the shore, and a surrounding marina with lovely views. 4
  • The hotel is conveniently located directly across from the white sandy beach, minutes from Fort Lauderdale/Hollywood International Airport (FLL), the Broward County Convention Center and Port Everglades Cruise Terminal, and two miles from Las Olas Boulevard entertainment district. 14
  • Location was good, but choose a tower room, not a standard room if you stay there! 9
  • No idea why this hotel would get bad reviews on Trip Advisor. It is a fantastic hotel in a great location. 9
  • The Fort Lauderdale hotel is ideally located about 500 feet from South Beach Park and a stone's throw from Bahia Mar Marina. 2
  • I stayed at the Maren a few months ago and it was... adequate. Definitely not worth burning points on. Rooms were ok. Neighborhood was non descript. 24
  • Hilton Marina's location is great for any necessities on 17th street....groceries, wine, restaurants, they have the Sun Trolley which can take you around the area, Water Taxi, etc. 18
  • the begimar is located in fort lauderdale florida and again only about 10 minutes from port everglades making it great to stay at before your cruise On camera80:25
  • another great thing about this hotel is it's located just walking distance from the beach with an elevated walkway so you can easily cross the a1a which is the main highway there 8

  • Bathrooms (we had two rooms) were old and very, very dated, and the carpeting in the room was pretty well worn and in need of repair. 9

  • I was in the marina building, standard room, on the second floor. Room (and I believe entire marina building) had been recently renovated and was very nice. 9
  • In contrast, my parents also stayed there in January of last year in the main tower (Marina view) rooms and had no complaints. They had a balcony overlooking the beach and their room was very nice. 9
  • The room is large with a larger and nicer fridge then usual and microwave, wet bar area. 18

  • Conrad has a swanky bar and a nice restaurant, which is super for couples I guess? 24
  • I was just at Bahia Mar. It wasn't my first choice. Conrad and Hotel Maren were. It honestly wasn't bad. We enjoyed the pool, ping pong tables, billiards, and the different restaurants/deli on site. It's the cheapest of the four. 24
  • The Maren restaurant was very mid and the pool left a lot to be desired imo (smallest of all three). 24
  • One of the draw backs for us was that there wasn't any room service. However next door there is The Market Deli and Liquor that has some grab and go options. 12
  • Bahia Mar Fort Lauderdale Beach - Doubletree By Hilton hotel is within reach of Coconuts and serves delectable meals. 20
  • It was good but a little pricey. There is a deli-type place on the hotel grounds that is great for breakfast and lunch. 19
  • It honestly wasn't bad. We enjoyed the pool, ping pong tables, billiards, and the different restaurants/deli on site. 24
  • Decent dining options are also available, including an on-site convenience store. 4
  • Bar/restaurant downstairs was underwhelming. 24
  • Went to the Italian restaurant inside and it was very good as well. 24
  • The property is in close proximity to Breezes, which serves delectable meals. 2
  • Lobby restaurant is okay, but as a bar it is pretty good. 13
  • the bmr didn't have any room service however there are some restaurants that are located in the main lobby although the hours seem to be a bit inconsistent we didn't really know when it was opening or not so you know take that with a grain of salt On camera81:18
  • beyond that there were limited food options we did find a really good little restaurant just off the a1a called boze beach which you could walk to which had some great food and a nice open feeling On camera88:33
  • For pre-cruise I actually like the Marina Hilton and the new restaurant is a welcome improvement. 24

  • I stayed at the Maren a few months ago and it was... adequate. Definitely not worth burning points on. Rooms were ok. 24
  • Location for Bahia is more central than the BW. We ve stayed in the tower rooms several times. It's a moderate hotel with good pricing on the Hilton site. 9
  • If you stay at the Bahia Mar, do not book the Standard room. Those are in the Marina building, which is detached from the main tower. They are the least expensive rooms listed on the Hilton website. We made that mistake in January of last year, paying $200/night for it, and it was terrible. 9
  • Gallery One is real nice, but also quite expensive and a bit longer from the airport/Port. 6
  • Food and drink prices are more reasonable here and actually pretty good for a hotel. 18
  • Prices for EVERYTHING are comically high... $9 for M&Ms. 24
  • Parking was very expensive as was the restaurant. If you're coming here parked across the street in public parking. 11
