The verdict

Who's travelling?

Pick a traveller type to re-weight the scores and re-rank the rooms around what you actually care about.

Read it your way

Anantara Riverside Bangkok Resort sits on the west bank of the Chao Phraya, featuring dark wood decor and private balconies overlooking the water. Guests praise the attentive service, restful beds, and fresh dishes cooked right at live stations. The free half-hourly shuttle boat to Saphan Taksin makes navigating the river straightforward. However, mornings can bring twenty-minute waits for full breakfast seating, the front desk can become crowded, and river-facing rooms occasionally pick up evening noise from party cruises. 1913225

What travelers noticed

  • Reviewers consistently praise the private balconies for direct views over the Chao Phraya River and watching local boat traffic along the waterways. 13252
  • Bedrooms provide a restful sleep with comfortable mattresses and soft pillows paired with effective sound insulation and silent air conditioning. 1326
  • Bathrooms impress with spacious layouts, deep bathtubs, rain showers, and signature toiletries reminiscent of Asian-style spas. 15105
  • Staff deliver thoughtful touches like unannounced birthday cakes, great care for children, and attentive service at Numero Uno Cafe. 13

The catch

  • While many guests appreciate the calm setting on the west bank of the river, others note that the Thonburi side leads to longer commutes to central Sukhumvit nightlife. 1913
  • River-facing balconies provide mesmerizing views across the water, though some reviewers note they pick up evening noise from passing party cruises compared to interior-facing rooms. 9

Who it's for

  • Riverfront relaxation with private balconies
  • Guests utilizing boat transit to Saphan Taksin and Icon Siam
  • Families seeking attentive staff and spacious grounds

Skip it if

  • Late-night travelers seeking walking access to Sukhumvit nightlife
  • Light sleepers sensitive to evening party cruise noise on the river
  • Guests in a hurry who cannot wait for busy morning breakfast seating

  • The bathroom was equally impressive: spacious, luxurious and equipped with everything you need for a comfortable stay. 13
  • To my absolute delight, the bathroom boasted a huge, deep bathtub, something I desperately craved after our long journey. 12

Location

86
read from 1 source · Deep coverage
  • The quiet location is a welcome escape from the madness of the city, but close enough to the bustle and excitement of attractions (like Asiatique opposite and the monumental Wat Arun a little further up the river) that you still feel part of it. 2
  • I've been to Bangkok 2 times in 2022 (due to a longer trip) and both times I stayed near Sukhumvit Rd, specifically in iCheck inn Residences. Everything close by, lots of street food in the evenings, and if I wanted to get somewhere further afield all I had to do was walk out of the hotel and there was immediately a subway station or tuk tuk to catch. 1

  • Upon arrival, we were immediately impressed by the stunning decor, which heightened our anticipation for what was to come. 12
  • The Deluxe River View Room was spacious and featured a gorgeous balcony looking down over the pool and the Chao Praya River. 23
  • The room was decorated in a classical Thai style with dark wood floors, a king size bed covered with pillows, fine cotton linens and silk throws, tasteful black and white photographs and backlit wooden panels. 21
  • Elegantly decorated in contemporary Thai design, the rooms and suites at Anantara Riverside Bangkok offer all the in-room amenities you expect on an urban retreat. 4
  • The room seen from the window. There was a balcony, but it was narrow. 26
  • The suite itself was generous in size, well lit and decorated in warm Thai tones that put you immediately at ease. 13
  • The bedroom seen from the bathroom. There was a stylish closet with Thai letters written all over it. 26
  • Enjoy stunning river views from your room 9
  • The Deluxe River View Room was spacious and featured a gorgeous balcony looking down over the pool and the Chao Praya River. It was fantastic to wake up, open the curtains, and see the absolutely beautiful Bangkok sunrise. 23
  • The room were nice with a calm atmosphere. 26
  • i'm loving this balcony it feels like i'm on top of the world On camera249:40
  • Our deluxe river view room was dreamy. Full of deep colours, rich textures and dark wooden furnishings, distinctively Thai elements reminded you exactly where you were, from the pictures of Thai temples behind the bed and the rare, reddish makha wooden flooring, all the way to the etched inscriptions around the window. 2
  • Apart from the deluxe rooms, Anantara Riverside Bangkok also has a selection of junior and family suites. Our room was spacious and beautifully decorated. Although modern in style, the space had traditional Thai touches such as rich dark wood finishes and elegant lamp shades. 5
  • The desk area came with a very smart bonus - a mobile phone loaded up with credit to make free local calls (and some international), as well as unlimited data and preloaded city guides and apps to help you navigate the city better. 11
  • The absolute highlight of the bedroom was the second balcony. Direct views over the Chao Phraya, just metres from the water. During the day we sat there lazily watching the busy river traffic; in the evening the lights of Bangkok created a backdrop that no bar or restaurant can compete with. 13
  • The room was comfortable and spacious, with the most up-to-date technologies, including your very own smartphone to use for free, a flatscreen TV, desk, and sitting area and, of course, our balcony with stunning view. 16
  • i thoroughly enjoyed this bed super comfortable bed the shower is great the street of course is very spacious On camera2414:20
  • i don't think i've ever had such a nice balcony at any hotel incredible and this is all for me On camera242:39
  • By the time we reached our room and climbed into bed, the extraordinarily comfortable beds were much welcomed. 16
  • Recognizing the boys were exhausted the staff swiftly checked us in and escorted us to our suite. We were kindly upgraded to a Riverfront Suite, and "wow" is truly an understatement. Upon entering, we were immediately captivated by the suite's grandeur. 12
  • there are plenty of places to charge your devices i counted 10 power sockets in this room alone On camera249:50
  • Be sure to ask for a river view room on a high floor. The view looks across the river to the Icon Siam temple of consumerism(free ferry from hotel), and the view is mesmerising. 6
  • Be sure to ask for a river view room on a high floor. The view looks across the river to the Icon Siam temple of consumerism(free ferry from hotel), and the view is mesmerising. I sat for hours watching it day and night last time I was there. 6
  • Plus, I had the pleasure of enjoying splendid vistas of the resort and river from my balcony! 10
  • The wifi was fast and stable, even on the balcony. 13
  • Some room categories (especially standard Deluxe) feel dated despite the 2014 renovation - Capella Bangkok or Four Seasons Bangkok at Chao Phraya River offer newer contemporary design 19
  • A small but lovely extra: a separate guest toilet with washbasin, keeping the bedroom and bathroom completely private. It is those considered details that make the difference between a large room and a suite that actually feels like a suite. 13
  • I also find that many hotel rooms have insufficient lighting. However, that was not the case in our Anantara Riverside Bangkok hotel room. There were plenty of lighting options including a reading light by the bed. 5
  • Enjoy 24-hour in-room dining and elite amenities such as in-room bar, tea and coffee making facilities, internet access, and LCD TV. Our suite featured a wrap around balcony offering scenic views overlooking both the river and swimming poo 4
  • What I genuinely appreciated were the USB-C ports beside the bed and the modern alarm clock with integrated charging. It sounds like a small detail, but when you travel with multiple devices every day you know how much it matters when a hotel has thought of this. 13

  • One of my favorite touches was the "Street Wise Guru" concierge that can make arrangements for and guide you not only to the normal attractions but some of the more local establishments. 21
  • Service at Anantara Riverside is not something you have to ask for. It is offered before you realise you need it. 13
  • The front desk was small and crowded. 26
  • The restaurant staff were consistently warm and welcoming, always attentive to our needs, and especially considerate of our children. 12
  • The expertise and caring of our staff make Anantara Riverside a leading wellness destination. 14
  • The guest relations manager welcomed us warmly, and after just a few sentences came the announcement every guest secretly hoped for: "We've upgraded you to the Anantara Riverfront Suite." 13
  • The staff speak excellent English, work with that unmistakable Thai warmth and know how to combine it with genuine professionalism. 13
  • The staff are well trained and treat guests like the kings or queens they are. 23
  • The nice thing about this hotel was that the lobby was big, the atmosphere of the pool was nice and service were good. 26
  • From what I could gather, the service in all food and beverage outlets was supreme. 23
  • The toiletries are from Anantara's own line and smell of lemongrass and jasmine, exactly the kind of scent that puts you instantly in holiday mode. 13
  • The front desk staff had me efficiently checked-in and relaxing in my room quickly and without fuss. 21
  • Nice grounds, great lobby, good pool, attentive service. Bathtub. 6
  • Each room comes with a 'Handy'; a free smartphone device that allows guests to make unlimited local and international calls - a nice touch. However, dare we say, the most impressive thing about the room may be the elephant towel art, courtesy of the talented cleaning team. 2
  • The hotel organizes cultural tours and excursions to many of the city's major sights and around some of its most picturesque streets and canals; the helpful concierge can offer suggestions and help you plan your visit, too. 25
  • Service you do not have to ask for Passion fruit that appears on the table again the next morning without a word. A birthday cake that shows up unannounced at the door. That is what it feels like here all the time. 13
  • It is easy to access the hotel by car (usually less than 45 minutes from both airports), but if you really want the feeling of "arrival" you can take one of the hotel's comfortable private boats (with very welcome and refreshing cold towels upon boarding) directly from the Saphan Taksin BTS Skytrain station. 21
  • oh my god i'm loving these balls ropes and these towels they're super soft On camera249:45
  • Throughout the evening, I experienced great service and a cozy atmosphere. 23
  • Each room comes with a 'Handy'; a free smartphone device that allows guests to make unlimited local and international calls - a nice touch. 2
  • If a hot tub is important to you then you may want to check it's functioning. The one in Anantara is currently out of service. 17
  • The room were nice with a calm atmosphere. It was also cleaned very well. 26
  • thanks for this! You won't regret it if you you there - it's slightly faded, but the staff are great, the food is good, the pool and it's poolside bar are fun and it's well situated for getting to other places. 6
  • Recognizing the boys were exhausted the staff swiftly checked us in and escorted us to our suite. 12
  • The service is top drawer, from attentive pool attendants to restaurant menus that are best described as exquisite! 4
  • Following a direct, comfortable flight from Paris to Bangkok operated by Air France, I was met at the airport by the attentive Anantara teams. The wellness manager, the delicate Khun Devi, welcomed me warmly with a little refreshment in the hotel's majestic lobby. 14
  • Upon our arrival, we were warmly greeted by a hotel representative, ensuring a seamless transition to our private transport. We were then escorted to a luxurious vehicle, setting the tone for our stay with an immediate sense of comfort and sophistication. 12
  • As someone with dietary intolerances, I initially had concerns about finding suitable options in Bangkok. However, the Anantara staff went above and beyond to accommodate my dietary needs, ensuring a worry-free dining experience. 12
  • I stayed at the Chatrium. Not recommended. It wasn't bad, but the pool was freezing and it was kind of isolated from the cool parts of the city. 17
  • the anantra has a free shuttle boat service which takes you to icon cm as well as the tuxentier and it comes back this way again and it leaves the resort every hour On camera2413:05
  • The service enhances the Anantara's appeal, providing both practicality and a unique perspective of the city. We found everyone at the Anantara to be exceptionally helpful, particularly when arranging a day tour of the temples. 12
  • The atmosphere is never rushed. Quiet music in the background, attentive staff and all the time in the world for another drink. 13
  • I've only stayed in the Shangri-La and it was a nice hotel with great views but it might be over your budget. 6
  • The service was notably good: dishes were replenished quickly and drinks refilled before we had to ask. 13
  • As we were on our honeymoon, the staff at the hotel left a little something in the room to make us feel especially welcome. It was a lovely heart-shaped red velvet cake and some welcome fruit. A small, but a lovely touch. 5
  • In a city that is constantly building upwards, Anantara Riverside deliberately chooses the ground. Gardens instead of towers, rhythm instead of rush, a team that remembers your name and knows what you appreciate rather than your room number. That makes all the difference. 13
  • The pool staff were highly attentive, promptly preparing our sunbeds with fresh towels as soon as they saw us. 12
  • Nice grounds, great lobby, good pool, attentive service. 6
  • The buffet breakfast was sumptuous. Nice grounds, great lobby, good pool, attentive service. 6
  • The hotel staff's response was good, but I felt like they were panicking due to the lack of workers. 26
  • Convenient boat service provided by the hotel for sightseeing along the river 9
  • this really is by far one of my favorite executive lounges in the whole of bangkok because the service here is top notch and the food is of really fantastic quality On camera243:52
  • When you travel in Thailand you can tell when the guest services personnel are well trained and it is obvious that management at Anantara Bangkok Riverside Resort takes this very seriously. Everyone spoke good English and were very helpful without hovering. 21
  • The staff at Número Uno Cafe were very helpful. 26
  • The captain and the steward were professional, friendly and gave the feeling that you were in good hands. 21
  • Our rooms were meticulously cleaned each day and were impeccably spotless. It was always lovely coming back to a freshly made bed and turn-down service was greatly appreciated in the evening. 12
  • As the Anantara is situated along the river, it offers a complimentary shuttle boat service to two destinations: Sathorn Pier and Iconsiam. 12
  • The staff were all extremely helpful and excellent with the children, further enhancing the overall experience. 12

  • If the craving for Western food hits, Italian Brio serves a great menu of pizza and pasta - though it should be said, as an aside, that Bangkok is home to some of the best pizzerias in Asia. 2
  • I stayed at the Quarter Chaophraya, it was awesome. Only about 5 min walk to Icon Siam, where we could get on the boat and go up and down the river ! Awesome breakfast and amenities also :) 6
  • The breakfast occurs in the Market Restaurant with indoor and outdoor seating along the Chao Praya River. This was one of the most extensive breakfast buffets that I've enjoyed in a while! They had cuisines from all corners of the globe, all tasting fantastic. 23
  • this really is by far one of my favorite executive lounges in the whole of bangkok because the service here is top notch and the food is of really fantastic quality On camera243:52
  • To my delight-and slight dismay-my eldest son discovered a love for prawns! Our meal featured an array of fresh meats, fish, rice, and various sides. Each dish was impeccably fresh and flavorful, leaving us reluctant for the experience to end. 12
  • The Riverside Restaurant offers a daily buffet breakfast, and being on the half-board package, we had the pleasure of indulging each morning. The setting by the riverside exudes a serene ambiance while remaining authentic to its Thai roots. 12
  • Equally impressive was the buffet. The choice is enormous: fresh oysters, crab, mussels, prawns and sashimi, grilled vegetables, pasta, Indian specialities, Japanese dishes and a substantial BBQ corner with spareribs, chicken wings and slow-cooked beef from the grill. 13
  • The bar features classic and innovative cocktails, plus an extensive list of wines and spirits. They say Seen Restaurant & Bar Bangkok is "the place to sin and be seen" and I can see why, thanks to its magnificent panoramas of the river and cityscape from 26 floors high. 10
  • The food was held to an incredibly high standard, and you could see first hand how fresh everything was as the chef behind each station cooked right in front of us. Nothing was less than perfect. 16
  • Filter coffee is available, of course, but if you want a really good coffee, often lacking at buffet breakfasts, then head to Mocha and Muffins inside the resort complex. 2
  • I had breakfast at around 9 am, but it was full and I had to wait for about 20 minutes outside. 26
  • I must admit, Italian cuisine is often challenging for me due to my gluten and dairy intolerances. However, at Brio, the menu is clearly labeled, allowing me to choose and enjoy a delicious asparagus risotto-a dish I had never tried before but will certainly have again. 12
  • During the cruise you will also enjoy a fine dining menu of elevated Thai favourites prepared from local ingredients. The food was excellent, and the team were incredibly welcoming. 5
  • Ten dining venues, each with its own character From Sala Lakorn and the Manohra Cruise to Trader Vic's and the Elephant Bar. Every concept stands on its own and deserves its own evening. 13
  • The extensive buffet (and I mean extensive - more options than you can physically sample in 2 days - and believe me I tried!) spreads both inside and out of The Market Restaurant. 11
  • In the evening, the restaurant that hosts the breakfast buffet the Riverside terrace transforms into an ambient dining venue offering a diverse array of cuisines from around the world. The experience was nothing short of heavenly. 12
  • Wake up to an impressive spread of international buffet dishes and an a la carte menu. 4
  • Dining is a real strength here: Riverside Terrace is the breakfast venue with live cooking stations and outdoor seating right on the river; Trader Vic's is the original Polynesian-themed tiki bar; Longtail by Chef Bee serves modern Thai tapas on the waterfront; and Manohra Cruises (the hotel's own fleet of teakwood rice barges) runs dinner cruises nightly. 19
  • The combination of diverse culinary offerings and the picturesque riverside setting made our breakfast experience truly exceptional. 12
  • I headed to Moccha & Muffins for a quick lunch before joining the wellness teams. I opted for a healthy and tasty vegetarian pad thai, with a delicious vitamin-packed mango shake. 14
  • To describe the selection of food at the Anantara Riverside as extensive is an understatement. My boys, who adore breakfast buffets, were thrilled by the vast array of options available. 12

  • The Manohra Dining Cruise invites guests to step aboard a beautifully restored antique rice barge and cruises along the majestic River of Kings, savouring delectable Thai cuisine. 4
  • Scrambled eggs and salmon bread. The bespoke menu was very delicious as it was brought to us as soon as I ordered. 26
  • The buffet breakfast at Anantara's 'Market' is wonderful. Here you can begin your day overlooking the river, enjoying the gorgeous view. 2
  • it is great being back in my air-conditioned suite but it is lovely down there at the restaurant On camera249:34
  • Dinner at Longtail is a much better use of your money than Trader Vic's unless you specifically want the kitsch. 19
  • The restaurant features a stone oven that cooks the pizzas to perfection, and they enthusiastically declared them to be amazing. 12
  • The chef performed his special version of 'eat-ertainment', making me chuckle as he threatened to throw eggs at my head before making them into a delicious fried rice to go with my freshly grilled King Prawns. 11
  • On Sundays there is the extensive Sunday Brunch with live cooking stations, fresh seafood, sushi and teppanyaki at the water's edge. We were particularly fond of the sushi, the cheeses, the lobster, the South American dishes and the grilled specialities. 13
  • We had the privilege of dining at several of the Anantara's exceptional restaurants, and we can confidently say that the cuisine there ranks among the best we have ever experienced. 12
  • The food was outstanding, with each dish more delicious than the last. 12
  • My interlocutor had opted for the Italian restaurant among the variety of dining options available at Anantara Riverside. The place was charming, the service attentive and the menu refined. 14
  • Skip along the buffet conga line and you'll find fresh seafood beautifully displayed on ice, mouth-watering charcuterie and cheese table, live Pad Thai street food stall, a la minute Italian DIY pasta corner, steaming dim sum, Cantonese BBQ, and epic dessert offering featuring a selection of cakes, ice creams and made-to-order churros, waffles and crepes. 4
  • the market offers hearty Buffet breakfasts while Riverside Terrace lets you Savor Seafood barbecues by the riverfront On camera152:11
  • This was a novel experience for us, and the boys were initially bewildered to see a chef with fresh ingredients awaiting our arrival. Our chef was exceptional, engaging the boys by allowing them to participate in the cooking process, which they found absolutely thrilling. 12
  • They served great coffee, which was good to grab on my way out in the morning, and I may also have tried a truffle or two. (Which were absolutely delicious.) 11
  • The Market is the resort's buffet restaurant, with extensive breakfast and dinner buffets along the riverside. We personally found the breakfast better than at Avani+, and that comes down entirely to the location and atmosphere. 13
  • thanks for this! You won't regret it if you you there - it's slightly faded, but the staff are great, the food is good, the pool and it's poolside bar are fun and it's well situated for getting to other places. 6

  • The food selection was excellent and covered popular Western and Asian breakfast options. I especially enjoyed the pastry section with freshly made mini-pancakes and waffles. 5
  • The buffet offered an astonishing selection of choices from every corner of the world. 12
  • Items I liked were the crab rangoons, prawn curry, fried prawns, and the coffee creme brulee! 23
  • The service is top drawer, from attentive pool attendants to restaurant menus that are best described as exquisite! 4
  • The food during the afternoon tea was modest, yet tasty. 23

  • Turning the corner, we discovered the living area, featuring three large windows and a balcony that provided a breathtaking view of the resort's pool area and the river. The nighttime vista was stunning. 12
  • Longtail River Bar & Lounge is an outdoor venue and closes in rain. Plan your visit on a clear evening, because this view is not to be missed. 13
  • The view from the rooms looks amazing though! 17
  • The small balcony was looking out onto the swimming pool and had a partial river view. It was great to just hang out there and watch the world go by. 5
  • From Saphan Taksin, Silom, Siam and Sukhumvit are easily reachable by Skytrain. That fifteen-minute boat ride is an experience in itself: the river, the boats, the skyline on both banks. And the best part? It comes completely free when you stay here. 13

  • Rooms are large and luxurious, and all have private balconies, many with river views. It's worth noting, however, that prices for food and services can be high, and guests who want to be in the city center may be disappointed by the location. 25
  • Shangri-La. We put our customers there. Good value for money, good location and next to the Skytrain for peak traffic hours. 17
  • The price range for one room is 4000 Baht, which is neither cheap nor overpriced. 26
  • An evening costs from 2,900 THB per person including buffet and soft drinks, which is an excellent price. 13
  • The Millenium Hilton is overpriced. Stinky garage, mid restaurant/breakfast (great pancakes and fabulous rievr view though!), rooms are ok but nothing special considering the price. 17
  • The issue with this area is the transportation links are less good than further up the river. We have stayed at the Montien Riverside twice for what I think was a very reasonable price. The buffet breakfast was sumptuous. 6

  • Exquisite marble bathrooms with a rain shower and separate bathtub complete the well-appointed bedrooms. 10
  • The bathroom was decked in marble with a separate tub and a decadent shower with two heads. 21
  • The toilet was not cleaned properly which was a little disappointing. 26
  • The bedding is extremely comfortable, just like at Anantara Layan Phuket, and the bathroom ideal for pampering and getting ready, even after a long-haul flight. 14
  • The bathroom was made of marbled, creating a luxurious atmosphere. 26
  • Honest as always: the bath is somewhat narrower than you might expect in a suite of this level. But otherwise nothing is missing, and that is ultimately what counts. 13
  • To my absolute delight, the bathroom boasted a huge, deep bathtub, something I desperately craved after our long journey. 12
  • i thoroughly enjoyed this bed super comfortable bed the shower is great the street of course is very spacious On camera2414:20
  • The bathtub was big with a shower. It did not take too long to fill up the bathtub. 26
  • The bathroom was also spacious and had both a shower and a bathtub. The bathroom features mirrored walls to make it look even bigger. 5
  • The bathroom is stylishly finished in natural stone and feels well-appointed and complete. 13
  • The bathroom was decked in marble with a separate tub and a decadent shower with two heads. There was all the first-rate toiletries you could imagine, fluffy towels and it was all accented with fresh orchids. 21

Bed & Sleep8 mentions · 2 filmed
  • The luxurious bed linen and comfortable mattress ensured that we all slept exceptionally well during our stay. 12
  • There was also a button next to the bed that controlled the lights. There were two pillows prepared on the bed, and I really liked the soft pillows. I was able to get a good nights sleep. 26
  • Shangrila got a renovation the last few years but didn't like it. The rest I think are forgettable 17
  • An absolutely incredible experience, but when we returned to our suite that evening we were completely exhausted. We slept like logs in that kingsize bed. Deep, long and glorious. 13
  • i thoroughly enjoyed this bed super comfortable bed the shower is great the street of course is very spacious On camera2414:20
  • I made a reservation for a room with a king size bed, but there were two semi double beds instead. The mattress was comfortable to sleep on. 26
  • oh my god i had a really great sleep in that bed last night and now it's time for breakfast On camera2410:10
  • The bed, fitted out with sumptuously soft Thai silk linen, was supremely comfortable, and the room's private balcony offered a sweeping vista of the Chao Phraya, where the gentle hum of riverboats added a rhythmic charm to the serene setting - it was enough to rock you to sleep, quite frankly. 2
Location12 mentions
  • The riverside location was conveniently close to all the major attractions in Bangkok, allowing easy access via riverboat. 12
  • You've come to the right place! This 5-star urban resort in Bangkok is conveniently located on the city's glimmering Chao Phraya River. 4
  • The location is fantastic because you get to enjoy a very relaxed atmosphere, all while having the conveniences of Bangkok at your fingertips. 23
  • The Anantara Riverside offers free river shuttles, and you can easily reach the BTS subway station. 14
  • The Thonburi side location means slightly longer commutes to Sukhumvit nightlife - for central Bangkok access, consider Mandarin Oriental Bangkok or The Peninsula Bangkok across the river 19
  • How is the location of Anantara? Is it accessible since it's on the "wrong side" of the river? Seems a bit further out that other stuff nearer to Icon Siam? mysterybkk • 2 taon ang nakalipas I thought it was great, the hotel has its own shuttle boat to ferry you to and from Saphan Taksin, and it's around 5-10 mins from Icon Siam by car. 1
  • The whole resort is imbued with classic Thai aesthetics, from the giant mural of traditional Thai life close to the entrance and huge antique urns that stand tall and proud in the lobby, all the way to the charming elephant sculptures scattered throughout the property. 2
  • If you only have a couple of days in Bangkok and your priority is to see all the big sights independently, Anantara Riverside Bangkok's location is not ideal. 5
  • The shuttle boat is a genuinely excellent amenity that transforms the Thonburi location from a negative into a positive. 19
  • The riverside location provides a bit of coolness which is highly appreciated in Bangkok's heat. 5
Noise5 mentions
  • Four season, Capella, shangrila, oriental, Hilton, Peninsula, the siam hotel All quiet and easy access to grand palace and Siam 1
  • The air conditioning worked silently and effectively, the sound insulation was excellent. 13
  • For a quieter stay, request a room that does not face the river to avoid noise from party cruises in the evening 9
  • The air conditioning worked silently and effectively, the sound insulation was excellent. Noise from the corridor or nearby rooms? Not audible. 13
  • Complimentary shuttle boat Daily from 08:00 to 23:15 to BTS Saphan Taksin and ICONSIAM. No traffic, no stress, just step on and enjoy. 13

Shangri-La. We put our customers there. Good value for money, good location and next to the Skytrain for peak traffic hours.
