  • Despite its history, a standard room at The Westin Josun Busan runs about $200-$250 - roughly a three-star rate in a major U.S. city, and often the same as or lower than the newer five-stars here. For a guest who prefers understated comfort and a hotel that sits with the sea rather than above it, it is a good value. 2
  • Even better, in addition to the (somewhat underwhelming) Westin brand of toiletries, this property had added Sothys to the mix. Even a philistine like me knew that Sothys was a good (read: expensive) brand. 9

  • I love this setup because it allows a quieter and more personal environment. We had a premier ocean view suite on the 12th floor. The room is pretty spacious with a separate small lounge space. On camera100:46
  • The view from the room is pretty nice. Reminded me of the view I had at the Fountainebleau in Miami. 4
  • The old room had a slightly tacky feel, like a business hotel, but after the remodeling, it has become a cozy Deluxe room accented with a blue carpet and sofa. On camera141:31

  • Room with nice desk And nice sea view On camera80:37
  • And the third room was the executive beach king with a king-sized bed plus a comfy couch. It felt really spacious, especially compared to the triple since there was only one bed and plenty of space to relax. On camera111:15
  • I had room 711, which as you can see from the floor plan is plenty big, about the size of 2 regular rooms 9
  • The room was nice, clean. 17
  • From what I saw on the official website, the last room rennovations were in 2003 and it shows. Everything is clean and in working order, but do not expect a super modern looking room. 4
  • The second room was a junior suite executive grand with a king-sized bed and an L-shaped couch. Since there were three of us, we requested an extra bed. This bathroom is the largest out of the three rooms, and it was super spacious. On camera110:51
  • Only one sink, which was a bit disappointing for a suite room. That said there were 2 bathrooms so you could always have your partner use the other one. 9
  • Indeed, the room lookes terrible. 5

  • The Westin Chosun Seoul (not to be mistaken with the Westin Chosun in Busan) occupies a prime location downtown, very close to the Myeongdong walking area. 9
  • But what I'm here to report is its location. I love Myeongdong, it's literally 2 mins away. Lotte mall was next door. Most tourist spots were no more than 30 minutes walk (YMMV). 17
  • Am here to say the Daegu Marriott in South Korea is my favorite hotel I go to for work. Granted, my territory only includes the entire US and Korea, but I've stayed at other Korean Marriott hotels (Courtyard at Times Square, Courtyard at Pankyo, Sheraton in Songdo) and the setup in Daegu next to the mall and train station is hard to beat! 17
  • Club lounge is located on the 2nd floor and is open every single day (including saturdays and sundays) and has really great views with massive floor to ceiling windows looking over all of Haeundae beach. 4
  • I can only agree about the Westin Hotel in Busan. if you are Bonvoy member, dont bother booking this hotel UNLESS you want to be close to the beach. 5

  • You can find an additional bathrobe here, too. There's a deep soaking tub, but we didn't have a separate walk-in shower. This setup makes me hesitant to use the tub because it doesn't feel very clean or sanitizing. On camera102:47
  • I also liked that they provided a large sofa, as it is a Viewma branch. However, the bathroom still retains an old-fashioned feel. It has a sink and a bathtub, and uses the old-style method of closing the curtain to relieve oneself. The space is cramped and not very comfortable. On camera141:57
  • Major design flaw with the loo- when you sit on it your legs are pressed up against the shower glass. It may look sort of roomy here but believe me there isn't a lot of space to move. 9

  • The lounge is a dedicated space on the 2nd floor (I guess no longer top floor it seems?), that has really terrible food for the evening happy hour. 4

  • For dinner, we went to Shabu. They served highquality food with delicious side dishes. And everything was fresh, flavorful, and cooked perfectly. On camera113:23
  • Let's take a look at their food. It was actually pretty impressive how many different dishes they offered and how fresh everything tasted. I personally really enjoyed the Korean and Asian selections and David loved the Western dishes. On camera103:26
  • I was given both the 500 points and complimentary breakfast for every day of my stay, which I could take in the lounge, at Aria (buffet) or at Vecchia E Nuovo (ala carte). I'm already impressed when a property offers to let me take my breakfast in the main (usually bigger spread) restaurant, let alone 3 options. 9
  • West's facilities include Panorama Lounge O'Kim's, a cafe, restaurant, and bar, as well as Bleu, a Korean restaurant in the basement. The quality of everything is generally good, but since the representative Haeundae area is right next door, these places feel even more special. With delicious food and drinks combined with a stunning view, it feels like a perfect package. On camera145:00
  • Breakfast in the restaurant was really good. Lots of variety, the french toast I especially enjoyed. 4
  • Not the biggest selection for a 4 star hotel in asia, but everything I ate there was of a high standard. I was quite impressed by the high quality of the food. 4
  • I have never stayed in Presidential Suite 1031 myself, but the views from the buffet(camellia restaurant) and from the sauna are already more than enough. 2
