  • The location is ideal; close to Bankers Life Fieldhouse, Lucas Oil Stadium, Monument Circle, not to mention walking distance to my favorite brunch at Milktooth. 8

Room

  • The rooms are bright and modern with pops of color here and there. Beware - the local goodies in the mini bar area are dangerously good! 8
  • The Alexander is quite trendy! (Oddly enough, I haven't stayed in any of the smaller rooms - I got put in a suite that was literally at the far back corner, facing the Lilly campus - but that was pretty amazing.) Very new, had a balcony and a kitchen. 9

Service

  • Superb customer service, cozy rooms, one of a kind art, and fabulous on site dining and drinks, The Alexander has it all. 8
  • Recent guests are quick to compliment the spacious rooms, the warm and welcoming staff and the perks offered to returning guests like snacks and a bottle of wine. 4

Which room to ask for

What reviewers say about where to sleep inside this building — by room number where one is named, and otherwise by floor, wing, aspect and position. Every line opens onto the quotes behind it.

No reviewer has yet described a room, floor or aspect specifically enough to act on at this property. Room intelligence appears here the moment they do.

Where travelers agree — and don’t

The topics reviewers split on most. A wide bar means your experience depends on which room you get — or whose opinion you trust.

Noise2 mentions
  • The other advantage is that it is RIGHT in the middle of a whole bunch of things - Georgia Street, Monument Circle, etc. 9
  • The Omni (at least the public areas of it) has that grand old hotel feel. The rooms have recently-ish been remodeled to look more modern, but they still have the "bones" of the antique style. The other advantage is that it is RIGHT in the middle of a whole bunch of things - Georgia Street, Monument Circle, etc. 9
Food4 mentions
  • As far as breakfast options, I'd prefer the buffet at the Alexander - holy cow, it was amazing. I'm not a big breakfast person, but I tried to make myself become one for that one day. 9
  • Platt 99 restaurant serves breakfast and the juicy steak at Nesso is a must try 10
  • If you're in the mood for dinner, head downstairs to Cerulean. Their menu is always changing serving locally sourced produce and meats it is always a treat to see what they've come up with. 8
  • If you're in the mood for a light dinner or late night snack, check out their menu. The ultimate grilled cheese (local cappicola, goat cheese, arugula, sriracha aoli) is killer. 8
