  • We booked a room overlooking the river for seven nights and had no issues with the traffic noise at all - perhaps in part because as cities go Berlin was quiet (it being the summer) - and with the window closed you couldn't hear the traffic at all. 5
  • Heather, like Dick, I didn't notice any tram noise when I was there. My room was very quiet. 10

  • A couple years ago we stayed five nights at the Adina Apartment Hotel Berlin Hackescher Markt, and can highly recommend it. Our room was virtually a one bedroom apartment with full kitchen amenities and a large open area for bed, etc, and a large balcony. We fell in love with it. The location was great, with a local train station about 3minute walk, bus stops close by, as well as Museum Island. 15

  • It was close to everything we wanted to do on that trip and wasn't far to walk to public transport for stuff not in the immediate area. We really liked Hotel Adelante in the Mitte. It was clean, conveniently located for walking and transit, and had the biggest shower I've ever had in Europe! 5
  • I will third the recommendation for the Adina Hotel Hackescher Markt. I loved that location and would definitely stay there again. 10
  • Chose a B&B for ease in the morning. We have twice stayed at Hotel Pension Columbus, very close to Zoo bahnhof and 100 bus which goes to museum/Reichstag areas. Great breakfast, lovely hosts, cost-effective. Nice area to walk -- KDW department store only blocks away on Ku'dam. 15
  • I can also recommend the Adina Apartment Hotel Berlin Hackescher Markt. We stayed there a few years ago and found it to be an excellent location and a very pleasant place to stay. 15
  • I stayed at the Hackescher Market location back in 2019 for 10 nights and really liked the location. 10
  • Hopefully you won't be planning to bake! There's a well-stocked small grocery around the block from the hotel entrance. I used it for juice, yogurt and such, and got baked goods from the little bakery on the corner. 10
  • I stayed at the Meliá Berlin on Friedrichstraße & The Spree. It was the perfect location & a great hotel. 17
  • I stayed at the Meliá Berlin Friedrichstraße & LOVED IT. On the Spree, it is easy walking distance to Museum Island, Hackescher Markt, Brandenburg Gate, Gendarmenmarkt, Potsdamer Platz, and Dussman das Kulturkaufhaus bookstore 10

  • (limited availability, max. Its superb location in the heart of Berlin makes the NH Collection Berlin Mitte am Checkpoint Charlie a favorite with business and leisure travelers alike. 22
  • For me, the location was ideal, with the S-Bahn a block away, the U-Bahn a couple of blocks the other way, a bakery and grocery around the corner, a lot of restaurants within a couple of blocks, and Museum Island about a 10-minute walk. 10

  • With its excellent transport links, central location and proximity to government offices, the NH Collection Berlin Mitte am Checkpoint Charlie is a superb location for business meetings and conferences. 22
  • My October visit didn't involve any open windows or air conditioning so I don't know the story about those. We stayed at this Adina in April, 2022. The location is really ideal. We use only public transport, and it was easy to get there from the train station with our luggage. 10
  • The city-centre location of NH Collection Berlin Mitte am Checkpoint Charlie makes it ideal for tourists and for those travelling on business. This is because many of Berlin's best attractions, major conference centres, exhibition halls and meeting spaces are close by. 1

  • The positive: It was inexpensive, even with breakfast included. 10
  • The refrigerate is more than large enough to hold restaurant leftovers as well as grocery purchases. There is a dining table and three chairs. It is plenty large enough for two peoples daily back pack download and arranging. 10
  • The positive: It was inexpensive, even with breakfast included. We thought breakfast was fine. They were still dealing with Covid stuff, but you could order anything you wanted cooked to order. 10
