Read it your way

Connected directly to the Ovation shopping complex and Dolby Theatre, this 20-story hotel places visitors steps from the Hollywood Walk of Fame. The property delivers comfortable king-size beds, reliable staff service, and sweeping views of the Hollywood Hills. However, guests often encounter dated room details like dings, scratches, and older TVs, alongside frustrating extra charges for parking and early check-in. 318517

  • Reviewers consistently applaud the front desk staff for fast, attentive service and efficient check-in. 23

  • Michael ordered the "Morning Cure" which was a pretzel bun loaded with eggs, bacon, smoked mozzarella and sausages whilst I had the "Loaded Burrito" which came filled with eggs, bacon, carnitas, cheese and potatoes and both were served with a side of deliciously seasoned house hash potatoes. It was a ridiculously flavoursome breakfast and a lesson in not judging a book by its cover. 21
  • It is not a secret that the breakfast buffet is one of my favorite parts of the staying at hotels (oh c'mon, we all can appreciate a variety of pastries and 10 types of cheeses on a plate to choose from!), and Loews Hollywood has an excellent one. 7

  • Another thing to mention and that is, I am sure, important for many of you, is the pricing point. For the service, location and the comfort you can't beat Loews Hollywood prices (less than $300 a night). 7
  • Extra fees add up (resort fee + parking + possible deposit = a much higher lodging budget) 15

  • The room was crisp, clean and modern. I was impressed. 16
  • If you're a views person, some room types can give you those Hollywood Hills/LA skyline vibes that make your morning coffee feel a little more cinematic. 15
  • One couple reported an immaculate room with a beautiful view over the city. 2
  • For the best experience, consider booking a room on a higher floor for stunning views of the Hollywood sign and city skyline. 3
  • Aside from its amenities, this Loews also receives high praise for its spacious accommodations, which boast stylish decor and fantastic city views as well as amenities such as free Wi-Fi, Keurig coffee makers and flat-screen TVs. 18
  • the room was huge spacious and everything we needed even complimentary water bottles every day On camera141:11
  • ng at a Lowe's Hotel I can clearly see it's an older building but then the inside of the room can definitely use a refresh or an upgrade 10
  • Apart from having the A-list view, the hotel room we had was beautiful, spacious and comfortable, and had a bunch of informative magazines and books that helped to plan our city walks. 7
  • We were very impressed by how clean and equipped was the room, and how INCREDIBLY friendly and respectful every member of the Loews Hollywood family was. 7
  • This is especially apparent in the large modern guest rooms with glam decor, Keurig coffeemakers, and some fantastic views including ones of the Hollywood sign or the city skyline. 11

  • A separate family made a serious complaint about fleas and described its room as unsanitary. 2
  • As I'm sure most parents of little ones would agree, eating out with kids is stressful. So the fact Oliver could roam around the spacious room, snacking on fries while playing with his toys was an absolute blessing. 8

  • the Alamo of driving in La for the for me though what make the stay was the staff especially Michael and Betty On camera141:36
  • However, we enjoyed the hotel's location and service so much that we extended our stay for an additional two nights which we happily paid for ourselves. 8
  • 100% a good area to stay in and the hotel itself is pretty nice, it really just depends on what you want to do. That being said, Hollywood Blvd and the immediate area around it does tend to attract the homeless and drunks at night. 19
  • Peaking the top of the list above The Roosevelt, Avalon, Mama Shelter and a few more, I am confident that Loews Hollywood is one of the best and that's not just because every member of staff is beyond lovely. 21
  • We stayed at Loews Hollywood Hotel during the off-season (late January) and attempted to check in at 1.30pm almost 3 hours earlier than the pre-set time of 4:00pm and were pleased to find that our room was available. 8
  • Guests consistently praise the exceptional staff and service, highlighting the team's professionalism and attentiveness, complemented by a diverse and delicious breakfast buffet. 3

  • On the left here, nice long mirror. There is a TV stand and dresser here. On camera220:34
  • Within 10 minutes we were checked in, it was a simple, painless process. As a bonus the check in attendant upgraded our room free of charge as we were on our Honeymoon. 16
  • If you eat meat, I highly recommend the H2 signature burger made with an American Wagyu beef patty, roasted garlic tomatoes, Tillamook cheddar, escarole lettuce and served with seasoned house fries. It's within my top 5 burgers I've ever had. Absolutely delicious and all the staff I spoke to agree it's something special. 21
  • So if you're looking for kind of a nice neighborhood to walk around in I would not say Hollywood was it - it's pretty rank smelling especially in the weekends. 19
  • Looking trendier than in the past, this is not a deluxe offering, though it offers solid standards all around; service is a strong point and staff are geared to upper-midrange business travelers. 12
  • We were very impressed by how clean and equipped was the room, and how INCREDIBLY friendly and respectful every member of the Loews Hollywood family was. 7
  • 100% a good area to stay in and the hotel itself is pretty nice, it really just depends on what you want to do. 19

  • I think with this hotel is more about the location than anything. We're getting ready to just step right outside onto the Hollywood Walk of Fame. On camera220:14
  • I'm an LA native who recently spent a few days staying at the Hollywood Roosevelt (very near Loews) with visiting friends. We had a great time - but also didn't spend time walking around the Hollywood Blvd area. Really the hotel was a comfy somewhat centrally located home base from which to go elsewhere. 19
  • The location could not be more central or smack in the middle of Hollywood - I'm talking steps from the Hollywood Walk of Fame and Dolby Theatre (where the Oscars take place!). 5
  • However, we enjoyed the hotel's location and service so much that we extended our stay for an additional two nights which we happily paid for ourselves. 8

  • The Loews has great access to the freeway so you can easily get around LA. The Hollywood Bowl is walking distance and there are some new restaurants in the area that are supposed to be pretty good. 19
  • One guest described the location as difficult to beat for both the venue and Hollywood itself. 2
  • The biggest flex here is the location. You're at Hollywood & Highland (now known for Ovation Hollywood), which means you're surrounded by "I'm in a movie" energy such as the Dolby Theatre, TCL Chinese Theatre, all that iconic Hollywood Boulevard stuff is basically right there. 15

  • The rooms were modern and well maintained. There isn't a lot nearby but the location was an ideal base for exploring LA by car. 16
  • Located in the heart of Hollywood - literally just next to the Hollywood Walk of Fame and Dolby Theater that is best known as Oscars location since 2002, Loews Hollywood Hotel is a dreamy and tasteful choice of accommodation for every traveler that wants to be close to the La La Land world. 7

  • Right on the Hollywood strip, this 628-room tower connects visitors to all the necessary landmarks, while also offering a solid all-day restaurant and access to a giant shopping mall. 17
  • We ordered one full meal, some side dishes, drinks and a desert which came to around $80. We didn't order anything fancy but the food was lovely and the portions were large. 16
  • The only thing I would say is that there isn't a table to eat at. We had to eat around the coffee table which was a bit awkward. 16
  • Preston's is the restaurant at Loews Hollywood where you can get breakfast and lunch. If I'm being honest, it doesn't look like much from the outside and when we saw it on our first evening we decided not to eat there based purely off how it looks like a function room. 21
