  • When it comes to location, it doesn't get much better than this. It is within a 12 minute walk to Disneyland, there is a Starbucks, Blaze pizza and a Walgreens literally steps from lobby and there is a CVS, 7/11 and lots of quick service restaurants within a block of the hotel. 8
  • We didn't spend much time in the room as we planned full days at Disneyland, but having stayed at the Hyatt Regency Orange County and the Hyatt Place Anaheim (located close by) previously, the Hyatt House Anaheim definitely has the best location between the three hotels to Disneyland. 22

  • During convention center events or Disneyland special events like Oogie Boogie Bash, I have seen rates over $700. Meanwhile, the award price on the same night is 12,000-18,000 points. That is an absurd value. 16
  • This is where the Hyatt House really shines. It is currently a Hyatt Category 4 hotel, which means standard rooms are 12,000-18,000 points per night. Suites are 24,000-30,000 points. Those are outstanding rates for a hotel near Disneyland. 16

  • The room was dark (we had a room with a bunkbed) and the ceiling/floors were pretty thin. The family above us must have had smaller kids that they would let run back and forth during the day, including early mornings and into the late night. 14
  • The room had an itty-bitty sofa/chaise lounge that was about 3-feet long that my daughter slept on. 10
  • For families of five or six, the bunk bed suites solve a problem that most Disneyland hotels cannot: real beds for everyone without booking two rooms. 16
  • The sofa bed was really uncomfortable. 7
  • The rooms there are rather nice. It's still a Hyatt, so you're not getting anything super fancy, but they are well maintained, clean and have nice furniture/fixtures and amenities. 3
  • So I was like, "Oh, that's a bummer." But we're going to we're going to figure it out. They called when we were on the plane and we're like, "Hey, we found you a two queen and a sofa bed. We are going to upgrade you to a suite." And it was so appreciative. We have loved our suite. On camera1917:36
  • The only good thing was that the room appeared to be clean. 7
  • The staff was able to accommodate us. We originally booked a one king room and they were able to switch us to a two queen studio, which was amazing. On camera1910:06
  • Here, the finishings and details are nicer. The glass separating the couch from the bed is an especially nice touch. 5
  • I stayed there in August 2017 with my family of five, and the hotel gave us a HA room that had no sofa bed, even though my email confirmation clearly said I booked a room with two queen beds and a sofa bed. It was a very frustrating experience. 10
  • We even felt it was close enough to leave the parks for a break in the hotel before returning. This is a very modern, attractive and comfortable room straight out of the Hyatt limited service playbook. If you have status you should be able to get an upgrade to at least a small suite. 10
  • One thing I noticed during our stay was just how much storage was worked into the room. 23
  • Let's start this Hyatt House Anaheim review with a look inside the rooms. We stayed in a standard king room, which featured incredibly comfortable bedding plus a large section couch. 9
  • This is also where all that storage throughout the room became useful rather than just something I noticed during the room tour. We could actually unpack. 23
  • And then you have this nice comfy sofa that turns into a sleeper. On camera213:27
  • There are over 50 here in Anaheim that you can explore and each one has positives and negatives and that's what Mandy is here to help you with is to figure out which one is best for you. This is our two queen studio. Oh, this is really great for us because it has two queen beds. On camera192:30
  • For our most recent stay here, we were in a Studio suite with a kitchen that featured a clean, contemporary style with ocean imagery. 22
  • I personally stayed 2 nights in a studio room. The beds were comfortable, with lots of pillows and firmness varieties. 11
  • We hid it in there and it was ready to go and he had no idea. There's a good amount of outlets kind of scattered throughout the room as well. You be sure to plug in all your various electronics. 19
  • High-quality, matching wood furniture in an oak finish includes desks and armoires with partially frosted-glass doors. 17
  • The rooms are spacious with a sofa bed and extra space to relax at the end of a long day. The room was very clean too! 6
  • The hotel has a mix of studios and one-bedroom suites. And the good news is a lot of them have been recently renovated. We're talking a clean, modern style, stylish furniture, fresh colors. On camera131:13
  • As as a newer hotel the decor and furnishings we're pristine and quite stylish. 8
  • King bed is here. You have the office area here. Very large TV. I think that's 65 in. I like the little desk area here. On camera41:01
  • The other type room they have at the Hyatt Place is a 1 King family suite with a set of bunk beds plus sofa sleeper. This room sleeps up to 6. I love how this room has a door to shut off the king bed area and the bunk beds with sofa sleeper room. This is really helpful for families. 6
  • At the Hyatt House right now. Room is pretty standard size. Clean. Modern-ish. 14
  • My kids loved the bunks..the room overall was more comfortable for us than the comparable family suite at the Regency OC a little farther up Harbor. 9
  • The 2 Queen, Standard room sleeps up to 6 with a sofa sleeper. This room felt bigger than most hotel rooms. I loved the separation in spaces. 6
  • Between outfits, accessories, hair, makeup, cameras and everything else we needed for D23, having enough room to spread out and get ourselves organized was genuinely useful. 23

  • Big and modern rooms. Breakfast was terrible. Receptionists very rude. 9
  • Overall, for families visiting Disneyland, the Hyatt Regency Orange County offers a nice balance of proximity, convenience, and space, especially if having a shuttle and family-friendly amenities is important to you. 4
  • They have upgraded us almost every visit. We consistently get 4:00 PM late checkout, which is very helpful- we go to the park in the morning on our last day, come back around noon or 1:00, still have access to our room to pack up and rest before heading to the airport. 16
  • If you're familiar with their brand, it's a nicer hotel than other Best Westerns in the area and it's a Hotel, not a Motel. You get a free drink (if you're 21) each day, the staff is very nice, free coffee and water in the lobby on your way out in the a.m. and the rooms are standard, but clean. 3
  • It was clean, the room was large, really nice kitchenette, the staff was friendly. It's a bit of a walk to Disney, maybe 15 minutes, but certainly walking distance (i can't speak to the safety). 18
  • From its close proximity to the parks and reliable shuttle service to family-friendly amenities like spacious suites, two pools, and on-site dining, we'll show you around, give you our honest take, and share how we stayed here for free. 4
  • All right, so we can actually hang like six shirts. It's nice storage. On camera41:50

  • See, there's a freezer and a fridge, which is really nice. On camera212:10
  • So number one thing that we love the free breakfast. I mean it's your typical hotel breakfast. I mean eggs breakfast potatoes some sort of breakfast meat a carbohydrate all those kind of things. But it works. It fuels you up. Gives you a nice good kind of fuel for the theme park day. On camera1916:06
  • Breakfast is good (but PACKED), the pool is fun. Our room was an 'upgrade' but worse than what we should have had. But the staff was friendly. 10
  • I had limited interactions with the staff, however everything went very well. When I checked in I was proactively offered the upgraded suite. At breakfast the attendants worked hard to clear everyone's plates. The hotel was full but the staff never felt stressed in the few interactions I had. 10
  • Nice! We arrived at the hotel well before check in time and asked if we could store our luggage and get a key to use the pool area and the wonderfully friendly lady at guest services helped us with that right away. 8
  • the staff at this hotel was wonderful nothing could have made it better thank you 5
  • The guest rooms feature a clean, contemporary style with ocean imagery. (This is Southern California, after all.) While it's nothing lavish, the rooms are nice. 9

  • It's not a Disneyland Resort Hotel. You aren't getting Disney-owned hotel theming or the experience of staying on Disney property. You're still walking. It's walkable for us, but it isn't directly across from the Disneyland gates. Consider the walking abilities of everyone in your group. 23
  • Hotel Overview: The Hyatt House Anaheim is one of the newest hotel near Disneyland, opening in July 2016, and is located less than a mile from the park entrance. It is conveniently located within walking distance to Disneyland (approximately 10 minute walk) and the Anaheim Convention Center. 22
  • The location was about a 10 minute walk from the entrance and I found that to be just fine. 10
  • However, the shuttle is great if you have need a break from walking. This hotel is newer than most other walkable hotels near Disneyland, and it shows. The rooms are clean, modern, and spacious. 16
  • [...] Resort/Convention Center looks pretty nice and seems to be in a good location as well. 10
  • Great location close to the parks, shopping and dining! Staying on property at Disneyland isn't as important as with Walt Disney World so this worked perfectly for us. We even felt it was close enough to leave the parks for a break in the hotel before returning. 10
  • So, anyways, it's quick walk to the parks from the Hyatt House. I would say it's about a 10minute walk to Disneyland. On camera214:04
  • While it's a bit of a walk to the parks, I really liked the ability to walk over to the Toy Story Parking lot and hop on a bus for free. 6
  • The walk from the hotel to Disneyland is very quick and easy. 3
  • The Hyatt Place is in the Anaheim Convention Center 'neighborhood' more than anything, but its distance has one advantage: it is directly across the street from the Toy Story Parking lot. This lot offers a free shuttle to the parks. You're looking at a <5 minute walk to the shuttle, then a free drive to the parks. This is a nice short-cut for a hotel that definitely provides some added appeal. 5
  • Other than the cost for parking (other area hotels/motels offer free parking) this was a fantastic spot. It's a bit of a walk from the park, and I say from the park since that's when you least want to walk. 10
  • The location is amazing. It's only it's less than a mile from Disneyland Gates about a 15-minute walk. On camera190:35
  • First things first, let's talk about the hotel's absolute biggest selling point, location. We are talking a single block away from the Disneyland entrance. On camera130:20
  • Agree that it is a really solid option within walking distance, however after several long park days we did Uber a couple of times towards the end. 9
  • The property is a Disney Good Neighbor Hotel, and one of its biggest advantages is its location between two places that bring a lot of us to Anaheim: the Disneyland Resort area and Anaheim Convention Center. 23

  • Breakfast is good (but PACKED), the pool is fun. 10
  • Breakfast was horrible with long lines and cafeteria style serving (you don't get to pick), and they closed the breakfast area off with partitions sharply at 9am. 7
  • What I liked about having H Bar downstairs wasn't simply that the hotel has a restaurant. It was the flexibility. 23
  • The breakfast here is one of the best Hyatt House breakfasts I have had anywhere. The space is huge, there are tons of options, and they start early - critical when you are trying to get to the park for rope drop. 16
  • Hot items can vary from bacon, sausage, eggs, pancakes and more. They have a oatmeal station, yogurt station, cold cereal, breads, muffins, bagels, fruit, milk, juices and coffee each day. I really enjoyed the variety of items to eat. 6
  • On the plus side, Hyatt House has chocolate milk (big win there), a variety of juices, and good coffee that you can take with your walk to Disneyland. 9
  • Another negative is that the dining options aren't plentiful here. You got breakfast, but and there's like the the lobby bar, but I think I might have said this earlier, but there's a lot of really close places to eat around here. On camera1918:40

  • Like the Hyatt House, the breakfast at Hyatt Place Anaheim is not very good. There are a couple of okay items, and the fruit and cold items are obviously fine, but I guess I expected more of Hyatt? 5
  • And hey, speaking of value, let's talk about the free hot breakfast. This is a massive perk, and guests absolutely rave about it. On camera131:59
  • The Starbucks opens later this month but the free coffee at breakfast was OK. 7
  • Dining area is much larger than other Hyatt Houses/Places that we've visited; no hovering for a table. 9
  • Their fitness centre was adequate and clean and was open 24/7, same with their business centre. They provide a complimentary breakfast buffet and the quality was better than average for the area. 8
  • The full breakfast is decent (although not extensive) and everything else is nearby. 10
  • Great clean hotel with tons of space and a great breakfast. 10
  • The included Breakfast had bacon, sausage, eggs, potato pancakes, tater tots, and pancakes (not great) or french toast (pretty good) as well as cut fruit, yogurt, and all the traditional continental options, and also had tons of seating, and the staff was great. 7
  • rooms, great breakfast, and 12,000-18,000 Hyatt points per night make it one of the best value plays for a Disneyland trip. 16
  • My family has severe food allergies. The chef gladly made them fresh pancakes and sausage every morning. This simple thing makes a huge difference for us! 9
  • The Hyatt House did have a huge plus because they offered bacon with their breakfast. That almost made up for only getting 4 hours of sleep each night...almost. 14
  • Breakfast this morning was quite good. Had eggs, sausage, tots. DW enjoyed the waffles. Best of all the breakfast area is huge. 14
  • H Bar serves casual meals along with alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages. We ate at H Bar during our stay and appreciated having a dinner option without needing to leave the property. 23
  • - Dining area is much larger than other Hyatt Houses/Places that we've visited; no hovering for a table. 9
  • The Hyatt Place is also within walking distance of several restaurants which made it convenient for meals. 6
  • The free breakfast always has a good spread and the space for getting the breakfast is large with plenty of seating (I hate super squished and crowded breakfast buffets). 14
  • It's modern, with the right plugs etc. They also have a free breakfast which is your typical bacon, scrambled eggs, fruits etc., buffet type. 3
  • Another morning, another breakfast. So, I love that there's a variety. I can grab a protein. I can grab things that like if I wanted to, I could take the bagel and cream cheese to go. On camera2113:07

  • Walk-in shower is always a plus. 5
  • My other complaint is the water pressure was PITIFUL. I know California is going through a major drought so I don't mind low pressure but this was the worst water pressure I've ever seen at an Anaheim hotel. 8
  • The bathroom is fairly nondescript, but nicer than 80% of hotels in Anaheim. 9
  • Nice walk in shower, but a little low with pressure. 14

  • The complimentary breakfast is a nice perk to have (offered at all Hyatt House and Hyatt Place locations) and the studio suite we were in was a great value for the price. 22
  • Oh, and if you want a hotel in Anaheim that is nice, basic, clean, convenient with no resort fee and no parking fee check out the Holiday Inn on Manchester. 9
  • Breakfast is included for guests staying at Hyatt House, which is something I think is worth factoring into the overall cost of your vacation. 23

  • The rooms are newer and bigger than almost anything else within walking distance, the breakfast is excellent, and the points pricing is one of the best deals in the Hyatt system. 16
  • Is that incredible convenience, that 10-minute walk to the gates of Disneyland, worth the pretty steep price and the potential gamble on whether you'll get the room you actually booked? On camera135:24
  • Rates tend to be higher here than at other mid-range properties in the area. 17
  • Look, the Hyatt House is easily one of the pricier options for a Disneyland Good Neighbour Hotel, but it offers decent value for the price. 8
  • Guests give high marks to the full hot breakfast buffet that's included in room rates. 17
  • Cost me $88 in September and was by far the best value with even places like Super 8 (where I would never stay) and the like all $120-plus. 9
  • I also love the fact that there is no resort fee or parking fee BS. 9
  • Yes, that is the Holiday Inn I was referring to, although it has had a renovation since those pics were taken (at least soft goods). But I have always enjoyed the place. The rooms are large and you have the fridge and microwave. I also love the fact that there is no resort fee or parking fee BS. 9

  • The sound insulation was bad as I could hear people talking and yelling at midnight through the connecting door which was closed. 7
  • Make sure to get the room facing away from the airport noise. Also get one floor below top floor because the roof isn't sound proof from the planes. 1
  • Stay at the Hyatt Regency John Wayne Airport. Free parking for Globalist. Make sure to get the room facing away from the airport noise. Also get one floor below top floor because the roof isn't sound proof from the planes. 1
  • Bonus points to Highth House. They are right here by 71. And so, guess what I got on my way back to the hotel? A Coke Slurpee. So, if you're a 7-Eleven Slurpee fan, it is right across the street from the hotel. It's perfect on your way back or on the way to the parks. On camera2114:33
  • On paper (and in photos) this sounds like a tremendous perk, with a fairly robust slate of offerings including made-to-order omelets. In practice, we found almost all of the options on the spread to be pretty awful. 9
  • I do like for security purposes here that you have to use your room key in order to get on the elevator. So, that is a nice feature as well. On camera215:26
