Read it your way

Hilton Grand Vacations Club Elara offers quiet, casino-free suite accommodations connected directly to Planet Hollywood and the Miracle Mile Shops. Guests praise the spacious rooms, comfortable beds, and clear views of the Strip. However, reviewers frequently complain about aggressive timeshare sales presentations, the lack of a full on-site restaurant, and the absence of complimentary daily housekeeping. 151731

What travelers noticed

  • Guests consistently appreciate the quiet, smoke-free atmosphere created by the absence of a loud casino floor. 13
  • The location provides direct indoor walking access to Planet Hollywood and the Miracle Mile Shops. 5179
  • Suites offer generous living space, comfortable beds, large showers, and expansive views of the Strip. 25

The catch

  • Some guests love having a jetted tub right in the bedroom for fun and relaxation, while others find the large tiled fixture odd to have next to the bed instead of in the bathroom. 2
  • While some visitors find the lobby bar and Starbucks sufficient, others are frustrated by the lack of a full on-site dining venue. 5

Who it's for

  • Travelers wanting a quiet, smoke-free Strip stay
  • Guests seeking multi-bedroom suites with kitchenettes
  • Visitors who want easy mall access without casino floor noise

Skip it if

  • Guests expecting complimentary daily housekeeping
  • Anyone looking for a full-service on-site restaurant
  • Travelers who dislike aggressive timeshare sales pitches

  • It's a solid value, but it's short on amenities, with just a pool with cabanas, a lobby bar, and a fitness center. 6

  • One of the greatest advantages of this resort is its central location. Guests have direct access to the Miracle Mile Shops, offering a huge selection of shopping, dining, and entertainment experiences just steps away. 5
  • If we had to pick we would stay at Elara By Hilton Grand Vacations Club - Center Strip again. The location is great and it's close to a lot of our favorite restaurants and casinos. 15
  • again I love the location it's at the back of the Miracle Mile shops so you have very easy access to get to the center strp and with it being connected to the miracle miles shops there is lots and lots of different restaurants On camera94:50
  • Elara was a fabulous place to stay in Vegas. It had everything we wanted: an excellent location with tons of food and attractions within walking distance, comfy digs, a great view, a kitchen, and even a jetted tub and a washer/dryer. 2
  • Reply Share Firenze42 • 2y ago Also the location is great! Also the location is great! We have gotten the GIANT 2200 sq ft suite twice. 13
  • The location is ideal, mid-strip and connected to The Miracle Mile Mall and Planet Hollywood. Across the street is Aria Resort & Casino and The Cosmopolitan. 15
  • Elara's location was perfect for us, and we walked almost everywhere we wanted to go. 2
  • Probably the biggest drawback to this hotel is its location. Located on the north end of The Strip there are fewer casinos and food options within a few minutes walk. 15
  • so i would say probably the alara would be our preferred just because of the location where it is on the strip it's right next to the marriott grand chateau it's connected to planet hollywood and it's also across from the aria so that makes it pretty convenient to get to some casinos if you want to do some gambling On camera18:30
  • Elara's location was especially convenient to Bellagio, just a 6-minute walk away, where we picked up a shuttle to kayak on Lake Mead and drove past the Hoover Dam. 2

  • Dining is also easy and convenient. Guests can enjoy options at the property including the lobby bar, seasonal poolside dining, and Starbucks. On camera52:46
  • The Elara is located in the Miracle Mile Shops. You literally walk out of the hotel lobby right into the mall which has an abundance of stores, restaurants, and coffee shops. Super convenient. 12
  • the frozen drinks were pre-blended pre-made and the food was pre-made as well so the menu compared to the other two condo hotels was not nearly as good On camera177:53
  • I mean, did you not know of all that stuff before you booked? Like not having a restaurant on site. Couple mins of research could have told you all that. 13
  • No onsite restaurant, no cell service in the rooms, pushy sales people everywhere, and the rooms aren't that great. 13

  • The bathroom at Elara was large for a hotel, with a long counter and cabinets featuring a washer/dryer, and separate enclosures for the toilet and shower. 2

  • musicfan92784 • 2y ago It was nice, clean, and good service but the sales people were absolutely insane and very aggressive. It was nice, clean, and good service but the sales people were absolutely insane and very aggressive. You couldn't even get to your room without them bothering you. 13
  • Rideshare and valet had the same entrance at Elara, but it was just a few steps away. We dropped bags at the bell desk on our last day and had 2 valets helping us as soon as we arrived at the desk. It was just a couple of bags, but their response was friendly and swift. 2
  • to 8 p.m. We appreciated the service we got at Elara. Our interactions with staff, from check-in to grabbing our checked bags at the valet station, were pleasant. We felt like everything was handled efficiently, and the hotel was well-run. 2
  • so they don't offer daily housekeeping here at the laa but they will give you a number that you can text them if you need anything On camera95:57

  • You can attend an HGV timeshare presentation every 12 months. We arrived at Elara not long after the 4 p.m. check-in time. The line was just 1 deep, so we checked in quickly. There were priority lines for various levels of HGV status, but the regular line was no sweat. 2
  • Inside, contemporary interiors, elegant public spaces, modern design, and welcoming service create a sophisticated atmosphere from the moment guests arrive. On camera50:49
  • It was nice, clean, and good service but the sales people were absolutely insane and very aggressive. You couldn't even get to your room without them bothering you. 13
  • And don't forget, there's actually pretty good WiFi, so you don't need cell service. 13
  • Not a big deal. You can opt-in for traditional daily room cleaning at a ridiculous rate of $100 per day. That's insane for someone to vacuum and replace your towels. 12
  • Down the escalators from the lobby was the valet entrance. Valet was much more conveniently located by comparison - no parking garage elevators or walks through the mall required. 2
  • The front desk person was friendly and informative. 12
  • The only drawback I experienced during my stay here was that room doesn't get cleaned daily, and towels don't get replaced so you need to hang them after showering instead of throwing them on the floor. Not a big deal. 12
  • and then when you're done you just press the button and the screen goes back up and you can see beautiful views of Las Vegas now we were on the 17th floor so we had some nice views during the day and at night On camera45:11

  • I was initially put off by the in-room jetted tub and felt like this enormous tiled fixture was a little weird to have in the bedroom rather than the bathroom next door. It was right next to the bed and bordered by carpet. It was surrounded by mirrors, and I got music video vibes. But I liked it, as it was so relaxing to soak in after a long day of kayaking and walking the Strip. 2
  • The bed was huge and insanely comfortable. And I loved that we also had a little sofa area to chill out. 10
  • Sleek, contemporary decor has a corporate feel. Spaces lack character, but they're modern, spacious, and clean. 11
  • Accessible suites were available in 1- or 2-bedroom sizes. We loved how spacious and comfortable the room was. 2
  • The upgraded room we stayed in, a 1 Bedroom King Suite With Sofabed, had a separate living room with an extensive kitchen, a jetted tub, and additional features in the bathroom - including a washer/dryer. I considered the $75 per night upgrade well worth it for a great room. 2
  • why should you stay at alara because i've never felt more comfortable in a hotel room before okay i've never felt more comfortable i've never felt more at home i've never slept better i've never been more at ease On camera1718:04
  • I could have used a step stool to get in a little easier, though! There was a closet in the bedroom across from the tub. It included a safe, which we found easy to operate, but it was too small for devices much larger than a tablet. 2
  • The room was clean, modern, and offered a nice view with a floor-to-ceiling window. 12
  • Almost as large as the living room, the bedroom at Elara had enough room for a King-size bed and a jetted tub. We slept well in Las Vegas! The bed was so comfortable, and we had a Strip view from the bed. 2
  • I enjoyed the view from our room. Whether in the living room or bedroom, we had a pretty good view of the Las Vegas Strip. Most notably, we could see the Paris Las Vegas Eiffel Tower, Planet Hollywood, and Caesars Palace. It was especially great at night, with all of the Las Vegas lights, and at sunrise. 2
  • Elara, a Hilton Club is more modern and features more upscale finishes. Located on floors 58 to 61 of the same building, these rooms have newer finishes, better views and a higher-end experience (such as a private check-in desk). 3
  • For a studio, it was really spacious and had everything we could have wanted. 10
  • and then let me just walk past this nice sort of table tall standing table and you walk in toward the living room and there's a small closet here On camera71:41
  • The accommodations are one of the greatest highlights of this resort. Guests can choose from spacious studios, one-bedroom suites, two-bedroom suites, and larger accommodations designed for travelers who appreciate extra space. On camera50:59
  • so let's now go take a look at the bedroom bedroom is a king-sized bed and a chair and a fairly nice tv 7
  • The drawers and cabinets were stocked with utensils, other cooking tools, a trash can, and soap for the dishwasher and washer/dryer. We were happy to have a tea kettle in the room, as that's how we made our coffee. We don't often see these in hotel rooms - or toasters, for that matter. 2
  • The views are amazing and there was plenty of room for everyone. It is one of my favorite places to stay in Vegas 13
  • and again from the bedroom we have a wonderful view as well you're just next to very similar view to what you had from the living room On camera72:42
  • The bed was so comfortable, and we had a Strip view from the bed. Our nightlight was the Paris Las Vegas Eiffel Tower. What a treat! 2
  • at alara i'm inside my one bedroom king suite this thing is magnificent wow look at this everything is nice and segwayed everything transitions into each other each room is pretty amazing On camera172:04
  • I've stayed at Paradise, Boulevard and Elara, and in terms of rooms, Boulevard is the worst. We stayed at Blvd twice - once in a regular Studio, once in 3 BR Plus. We were never impressed. It's pretty dated. 16

  • The Elara and the Waldorf Astoria are the only semi-quiet hotels on the strip where I don't have to walk through a massive, loud casino with people smoking like chimneys. 13
  • i'll start off by saying that like the biggest thing i like about the alara or the best thing rather is the fact that it's actually it's still pretty quiet like when you're up in the tower in your room it's quiet you don't hear hardly anything you know so it's nice that you can get away from it all On camera17:53
  • Elara by Hilton Grand Vacations is quieter and offers benefits seen in vacation homes, including a kitchenette (and a full kitchen in some rooms). 3
  • it also does not have a casino so some people may see that as a con actually for us it was really relaxing and very quiet you know On camera95:07
  • But as close as Elara was to the center of the action, it was far back off the Strip enough that it was quiet and felt private. 2
