The verdict

Who's travelling?

Pick a traveller type to re-weight the scores and re-rank the rooms around what you actually care about.

Read it your way

Hampton Inn Tropicana offers a practical base just off the Strip, complete with free breakfast, a complimentary shuttle, and no resort fees. Guests consistently praise the quiet rooms, comfortable beds, and convenient walking distance to the MGM Grand. However, internet performance can be disappointing, and some bathrooms show signs of wear like chipped bathtubs. 141069

  • With a total of up to 46°C a day it has been more than pleasuring to return to the room with a well organized climatic system. 11
  • my favorite aspect of the room is definitely the ceiling they have some kind of plaster work here it's really pretty I enjoy that On camera141:55
  • The only reason I didn't rate it a 10 out of 10 was because the front desk guy wouldn't give me a key that worked until I tried 3 different room keys at 3 in the morning. 15
  • I liked the fact that it felt a bit different even though our room felt a little dated. There's a little bit of rattan, some Tropicana branded toiletries, small bottles of water, TV and large comfy beds but very little else. 9

  • And when is the last time you saw a coffee maker in a Las Vegas hotel room? Ours had one - even though there was a coffee shop on site. 6
  • I was overlooking The Strip from my room, what has been, especially by night, an adventure for itself. 11

  • The rooms still have the luxury and high quality standard of the "typical" Hilton hotel room, which I really valued. 11
  • With just the smaller bedroom and the living room, it would have been as nice as the nicest suite I have stayed in, but then I saw the master bedroom and occasionally had to laugh out loud. 1
  • really happy with the room like i said it was a late night last night so now today back at 100% caught up on sleep On camera107:25
  • Now part of the Hilton brand, our room was on the Hilton Honors floor. We liked that it was larger than other hotel rooms we have had at newer Las Vegas resorts. 6
  • Most of the rooms at the Tropicana hotel are set in the back. It's a long old walk after returning from a busy day exploring to collapse into bed. 9

  • But wait, breakfast. Oh, the breakfast. We all know a great morning starts with great fuel. And Hampton in Tropicana delivers. Fresh, tasty options to kick off your day right before you dive back into the Vegas adventure. On camera171:28
  • I started the meal with a delectable French onion soup. I had the smaller filet minion selections with the trio of house-made sauces as my main course. The Bearnaise sauce was good, but I particularly enjoyed the other two tangier BBQ sauces. I ordered a side of herbed potatoes and finished the meal with a delicious key lime pie dessert topped with sea salt. 1

  • The food was good, the atmosphere was casual, and the service was excellent. I had one of the pasta dishes, which I enjoyed, but look for the picture of my apple caramel dessert, which I particularly savored. 1
  • other than probably their main restaurant here Robert Irvine's public house it's open for breakfast lunch dinner it looks very inviting let's go check it out On camera147:56
  • The casino dealers and wait staff were friendly and even though this casino is smaller in size, there are larger casinos right across the street. We enjoyed a breakfast buffet in the Beach Cafe one morning. The made to order omelettes here were especially good! 6
  • just had the last day of free breakfast it was extraordinary as always On camera1013:58
  • The food hall is a great option for good value, quick lunches and there's an onsite Starbucks for your daily caffeine fix. We often opted for the smaller coffee kiosk at the bottom of the lifts to the room to keep our costs down for breakfast, the fresh pastries were delicious! 9
