  • Maybe next time! This is the perfect family hotel to consider when you are looking at Bermuda as they offer all-inclusive at fantastic rates and I have to say the food is outstanding, but we will get to that later. 22
  • What is also amazing about the all inclusive resort deal is you get island wide transport for free. That includes buses and ferries. 18

  • I have favorite restaurants I have to hit, so I never do the all inclusive there. There's a small grocery store across the street, I've hit that for breakfast foods in lieu of high prices eating at Grotto. 3
  • Maybe next time! This is the perfect family hotel to consider when you are looking at Bermuda as they offer all-inclusive at fantastic rates and I have to say the food is outstanding, but we will get to that later. 22
  • For our next trip I'm looking at the salt kettle house. It lacks the amenities, but the views and price are appealing. 17
  • What is also amazing about the all inclusive resort deal is you get island wide transport for free. That includes buses and ferries. 18
  • While the resort grounds are beautiful, the rooms are mediocre. With average nightly rates of $337 to $557 USD, I was expecting more. In the future, I'd love to see updates to the room décor and furnishings. 2
  • The Grotto isn't awesome but it is a great place for the price. 4
  • We can definitively say that Grotto Bay Beach Resort is Bermuda's best bang-for-your-buck hotel. It has consistently cheaper rates than most of its competitors, and a host of on-site amenities, including three restaurants and an incredibly special spa built within a natural grotto. 19
  • Overall we had a great time and would go back. Good value. 12
  • Here's why, though, I won't stay Grotto again: it's WAY overpriced. 3
Room16 mentions
  • The room was spacious with a bathroom and there was plenty of space for the cot. 18
  • The king bed was comfortable and the room was very clean. 20
  • The room redec looks great, and Sunken Harbor Club, the new flagship restaurant, is phenomenal. 7
  • Free Wi-Fi is available for all guests throughout the hotel and in each guest room. It's fast, reliable, and works well across the property. 19
  • The in-room cable was pretty sparse at the time, maybe 15 channels. 4
  • Unfortunately, the warm tones and preppy decor found in the lobby don't continue into the guest rooms, which are fairly bland and somewhat dated. 19
  • Lovely air conditioning. Bermuda is hot, even in September, a nice simple thermostat is perfect for the climate. 20
  • After that, they said the next time I come, they'll give us a room at 50% off. Then Covid hit. I contacted when things opened back up and they had no record in their system about 50% off (but they were able to tell that I'd been coming every year since 2002). 3
  • When we got a new room, the next morning, everything was covered with ants. Everywhere. And, for $550-$600 per night? No. 3
  • It's "fine" but food isn't great, and I'd say every other interaction with staff feels like we're bothering them. We booked waterfront ocean deluxe room and on our second night the ac broke so they moved us to a non waterfront room and just changed our rate which was $16 less per night. 17
  • The room was spacious with a bathroom and there was plenty of space for the cot. Our balcony had a little table and chairs. Our view was elevated looking down onto the bay. It was really lovely. 18
  • One time, the AC didn't work and it was just so hot in the room. I had to walk up to the front desk and get a new room at 1 am. 3
  • Had a beautiful room with a gorgeous view overlooking the water. Rooms are updated and very spacious with refrigerator and balcony. 9
  • Our room was located not to far from the hotel reception making it easy with the kids to get back and too. Our room was tastefully decorated in bright orange and white, which may sound very in your face, but it was so fitting for the hotel and we loved it! 22
  • The hotel room was just right for the two of us. Everything was clean and organized. 9
  • The dark oak furniture and woven rugs are tasteful additions, but don't do enough to completely pull the room together. 19
Service29 mentions
  • The staff was very polite and wanted to help in anyway possibly. 9
  • Rooms were ok, staff nice. We managed to get a cot in our room for extra sleeping spaces. 3
  • Best beach, calmest water, boat rentals, good food and excellent staff...ps the shore fishing is awesome 12
  • Staff was also super helpful, though I'll say we did think the rooms could use some updating. 12
  • One thing I will always remember about the staff at Grotto bay was how attentive and helpful they were. The lovely lady in the excursion and information desk was beyond helpful and helped us to plan many of our days. 22
  • The reception area is bright and airy with some gorgeous statement pieces of furniture. The dark wood floors, cozy fireplace along with elegant candles and local art work made the whole feel warm and welcoming. 22
  • Service was extremely nice 13
  • The beach is meh. No poolside or beachside service. 17
  • Wade International Airport (BDA), we arrived at Grotto Bay Beach Resort in less than 10 minutes. Our cab driver dropped us off at the Great House, where a cheerful bellman took our luggage and reminded us to relax and have a great time on the island. 2
  • She was always so friendly and would stop us each day to see how we were getting on. Our room was always made up lovely and was completely spotless with fresh towels and amenities daily. Grotto bay have got it spot on with their staff. 22
  • Unfortunately, our girls were not doing well being confined to a room and the hotel was wonderful at accommodating our request for possibly moving to a ground floor room since they had sliders. 23
  • All of the staff are wonderful and kind! 9
  • Pbli1999 • 1y ago Yes. We went to a Grotto Bay this June for our anniversary. It was very clean, accommodating and we had a wonderful time. 17
  • The entire staff was incredibly friendly, as this is a phenomena found throughout Bermuda... 9
  • The hotel staff were all eager to help make our vacation perfect. 9
  • We got such a lovely welcome from the staff and as we were early for check in, we went and had a cup of tea in the bar area where they put on a free afternoon tea each day which I just loved as being British there's nothing quite like a cuppa when away from home! 22
  • Loved staying here and would 100% stay again. This place was soooooo relaxing and the staff was extremely friendly. 9
  • Every morning, housekeeping cleaned our room. The staff was courteous and accommodating. 2
  • The staff are wonderful and attentive. 17
  • All the staff were so friendly and helpful! 9
  • With a special thank you to the management team that made us feel so welcome. 18
  • The beach is meh. No poolside or beachside service. For a special trip, you want that Bermuda charm and the pink South Shore sand. 17
  • We've decided we likely wouldnt come back. It's "fine" but food isn't great, and I'd say every other interaction with staff feels like we're bothering them. 17
  • Definitely a highlight of our honeymoon! We had Vickie and Della, who were friendly and professional. We opted for the 90 minute massage, worth every single penny,... 9
  • Beach is second to none and service and the grounds are lovely. 17
  • Apparently they are a bit of a nuisance and should not be fed. This hotel was exactly what we needed. All of the staff were exceedingly friendly. 20
  • Big thumbs up Grotto Bay. We saw the attentive waiters regularly topping up the drinks of the all-inclusive guests. If you drink and are going to be at the hotel most of the time, then I'd definitely go for the all-inclusive option. 22
  • This is not the understanding I got from the internet before travelling there. However, we were completely enlightened by our very helpful concierge at the fabulous all inclusive Grotto Bay Beach Resort. 18

  • The dining was decent and the hotel is five minutes from the airport. 9
  • My only complaint was their food/cocktails was nothing special. 17
  • Mom and I enjoyed complimentary afternoon tea from 3:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. every afternoon at the Palm Court Restaurant. Tea, coffee, pastries, cakes, and scones satisfied our sweet tooth. 2
  • It is 2 mins walk away from The Swizzle Inn, which has the best entertainment on the island! We did not go all inclusive, and for this we were glad, as the drinks were watery and the food average. 4
  • I also think the food is really good, spa is nice, caves are very cool. 17
  • My only complaint was their food/cocktails was nothing special. I did not try their main Restaurant only breakfast bar and pool bar. 17
  • Great beach, great food and great location to other beaches. 17
  • We've decided we likely wouldnt come back. It's "fine" but food isn't great, and I'd say every other interaction with staff feels like we're bothering them. 17
  • The breakfasts were just as impressive! My son is just a mini me when it comes to his taste in food. He loves pancakes and waffles with Nutella for breakfast something I would always have when travelling but can't now due to my wheat allergies. 22
  • we're actually at one of the restaurants right now which is a great place to have both lunch and dinner and they bring the outside inside for you but if you actually want to stay outside there's also outside seating which we'll show a little bit of as well On camera211:20
  • The rooms were nice, clean and the food was good. 12
  • Grotto bay is lovely. Beach is very pretty and food is very good 17
  • As for the hotel itself, it's clean, and parts of it have been newly renovated. We'd also recommend The Reefs for its beautiful views, they have a newly opened restaurant called the Solaris which is a must. 17
  • we're the outside area of the restaurant now they have an egg station they have a waffle station they have a pancake station they have so many options continental breakfast options and also hot food as well it's one of the best buffets and breakfast in bermuda so it's definitely worthwhile to go there and eat well On camera219:09
  • All the food for all inclusive deals is freshly cooked from a menu! The breakfast is my personal favourite. 18
  • The grounds were nice and food was ok. 17
  • The room redec looks great, and Sunken Harbor Club, the new flagship restaurant, is phenomenal. 7
  • The breakfast isn't bad - enough to satisfy my monster appetite - but I don't think anybody comes to Bermy for the cuisine. 4
  • Beaches are beautiful, dining at Sunken Harbor is amazing (Breezes and Pastel are just OK). 7
  • Food at the resort was only ok 13
  • The ok food and drink I can only speak for the breakfast bar and the pool side restaurant. We did not dine in the main restaurant. (Possibly one of the worst burgers iv ever had but chicken fingers were fine) 13
  • I didn't stay there. However, we did have rooms to get ready and access to the property for the day. The rooms were nice, clean and the food was good. 12
  • The Hibiscus Dining Room is open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The gorgeous dining room has the same upscale clubby atmosphere as the lobby, with dark wood detailing and white coffered ceilings. 19
  • Food is very good at Grotto Bay and you can walk to the Swizzle Inn for lunch or Dinner. 17
  • 17% tip on everything, I normally tip 20% - 25% when eating/drinking but when I just needed a bottle of water or when I was serving myself at the breakfast spot it was a bit annoying 13
  • The food was delicious in both the hibiscus and Palm rooms and the bartenders knew just how to get your night started right :). 9
  • Maybe next time! This is the perfect family hotel to consider when you are looking at Bermuda as they offer all-inclusive at fantastic rates and I have to say the food is outstanding, but we will get to that later. 22
  • The best. I love it there. Great beach, great food and great location to other beaches. 17
  • The food was just fine (although I set my bar low as we are coming from Chicago). 12
  • I stayed there maybe about 10 years ago. It was nice and the food was great. 11
  • GB is not dressy, but dinner is a tad more dressy than say luncheon and the dining room is quite nice. 11
  • The food and beverages are exquisite. 9
  • You get 3 courses from an extensive menu including steaks which blew me away! The food was simply outstanding, I just can't praise it enough! The steak béarnaise was simply to die for! 22
  • Grotto Bay Beach Resort and Spa doesn't disappoint in the culinary department. They've got three restaurants serving up a delightful mix of Bermudeian and European cuisine. On camera11:32
  • Food too I'd say is slightly above average, there are better places to eat in town, but the all inclusive option just made things incredibly easy. 12
  • The rooms are basic and nice but the views, pfftt...Food is very good too. 17
  • Meals were wonderful!! We did the all-inclusive and enjoyed the buffet breakfast, lunch by the pool and the dinners in the restaurants. 9
  • msa6 • 1y ago Thanks! Their new restaurant Solaris is very good with great views 17
  • The all inclusive was fantastic, offering some of the best meals I have ever eaten. The chef is a maestro. Every meal, breakfast, lunch, and dinner, TERRIFIC. 9
  • Best beach, calmest water, boat rentals, good food and excellent staff...ps the shore fishing is awesome 12
  • I also think the food is really good, spa is nice, caves are very cool. It's very low key. 17
  • The kid's menu was fantastic too, my son tried different things each night and enjoyed everything, this was great for us as he can be a fussy eater. I loved that the kid's menu was also a coloring sheet to keep him entertained! 22
  • I have favorite restaurants I have to hit, so I never do the all inclusive there. There's a small grocery store across the street, I've hit that for breakfast foods in lieu of high prices eating at Grotto. 3

  • We are not normally ones for all inclusive holidays but sometimes when travelling with a toddler, it is the easiest (and cheapest) way. This all-inclusive intimate resort is in a great location on the island making it easy to access the airport within five minutes. 18

  • I also like being close to the airport, St George's, Twizzle Inn and great bus access. 17
  • It really depends on what you're looking for. They are usually booked up as it's near the airport and one of the more reasonable places to stay that's still good quality. 12
  • The location isn't in town so you'll need transport via scooter, electric car, bus, or taxi to see much of the island, but that's another article. 20
